Hi gents, What do you serious think about a registration here? The idea behind all is: When we are travelling around Europe and maybe one of us get in trouble with his car o.a.e. and is not used with the language in this country, don`t know where to go for the rep. of the Ferrari, needs a hotel, asking for....whatever, he can call one of the ferrarichat.com members/friends for help. For example to show up on the list: - Country - Next big City close to the member - Username - Name - Mobil / Cell Phone Number ....anything else you would like to see? This is just an idea & a place to discuss it! If we run it, we will run it on a seperate thread with just the details and no more comments - so we can easliy print and enlarge the list with new members. Waiting for feedback Wolfgang FORZA FERRARI
An interesting idea, however I do not think a thread in this forum is the place. I don't think is a good idea to have the phone, email or addreses listed in a place which is open to anybody in the web. Think what a gift for proffesional car stealers... - Julio.
Julio, thanks a lot buddy. Any idea and way for implementation is very welcome. We will wait & see for everybodys comments and I`m sure we will find a solution to make it happen. Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Very nice idea Wolfgang. But i agree the others, privacy is important. So how else can we arrange it, does anyone have an idea?
Maybe if we are going to be travelling around europe we just post the locations we will be going to. Anyone who live near can then private message back with their details??
PM = Private Message????? ....very complicate to drop all the mails to everybody, mhmm Any other ideas. By the way, I haven`t had any problems with the other forum to show my personal dates, location, mobil number. we shared them in the past lostsa of time with other users here for our meetings. So, to me anyway and you don`t need to follow but there is a way to contact me if you want: Country: Germany City: Heidelberg Name: Wolfgang Mobil: +49 (0) 170 - 1647222 I think, thats all what we need and nothing more. So we can get in touch with more details over cell/mobil if necessary. Yours Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Over here neither, no F-cars, 5 a year max. So, if anyone comes to Noord-Holland, Texel or just above Amsterdam I'll most probably be around. Sometimes around Leeuwarden, my school is there. By phone it will be +31 (0)6 4817 0990. You can even call when your not in trouble, but just wanting to have some real dutch coffee or hagelslag . Bart
@ferrarist...cool Istanbul. Are there any Ferrari drivers???? Yes, I`m serious asking! @Bart, Hi my dear old friend; good to Cu here and thanks for the cell phone. We will have our meeting next year - haven`t forgot you!!! @Julio, thanks a lot for your PM. I appreciate it very much and we will see us next on our Spain trip! Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Yes Wolfgang. There are Ferrari drivers here. There's also an authorized dealer with authorized service and bodyshop. Ferraris are officially imported since 1995 if i'm not wrong. Most of them are 355s and 360s here. Rarely you may see a 550 or 456 and sometimes 348, Mondial, 512TR, Testarossa. And if you're lucky enough you can meet the drivers and get a ride from them, like i did Also there's a private collector who has a museum including : Testarossa, 328GTS, 365GT 2+2, 365GTB/4 Daytona, 246GTS Dino, 275GTS, 250 GTE, 250GT Boano Coupé Alloy Bodied (very rare one), Mondial T, 360 spider. And if you'd like to see the pics. An owners meeting was held this year in may with Greek Ferrari Club. http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/251280/285469.html
Izel, You're in Istanbul?? I really enjoy visiting Turkey...good scuba diving, good food, good eating and good shopping. My wife and I also did some excellent motorcycling in Capadocia and further east. I must really get out there again....SOON!!! I've been in South Africa for three days now and have not seen one F-car....maybe I should get outside and stop Bonking Cheers, MARK
@Mark Collins, yep, and I would appreciate any good idea to run a list. Please let us know your thoughts. Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
I agree that you do not want to post too much personal data on public websites. An example of where that went wrong can be found here in South Africa.... The BMW Motorcycle owners club of Pretoria listed the names and addresses of all their members on their public website, as well as the list of all the motorcycles they owned. A criminal gang worked systematically through this list over a couple of months, stealing a succession of BMW bike, starting with the most expensive. That section of the site was closed once BMW cottoned on to what was happening. Too late!! Cheers, MARK
Thanks Mark, I haven`t thought about this....damn banditos all around the world. So lets think about: -Fax -PM -Cell Phone Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
