Beautiful car. One of the first, if not the first, Ferrari designed by Pininfarina. Saw this particular car in Maastricht earlier this year. Unfortunately it is not in good shape. I hope the new owner will take care of that. This car deserves it.

How much do you all think the fact that Prince Bernhard owned the car increases its value? I ask because I own a 330 GT 2+2 that was first owned by him. No, its not for sale!

This car has been shopped around the planet for the past two or more years, no takers so far. May be the chassis number re-stamping also affects the value and desirability.

    Great car indeed!
It was at Concours het Loo 2 years ago also.
Very nice patina, but most people would say it is in bad condition and needs a major restauration.
Maybe the asking price is a little too high.

Don't know how much, but I'm sure it will influence tha value a bit, especially since the Prince passed away a few years ago.
Bernhard was a much beloved man in The Netherlands. Controversial but loved as a person.
I'm sure his cars will get more and more attention in the future.

Do you still have the original lisence plates with the Prince's lucky number 13 with the car?

Do you have any idea why this has been done and by whom?

Why was it re-stamped? Did our prince crash it at some point?

May simply have been the easiest way to transfer registeration to this car. Best wishes, Kare

I dont have the original plate, but I understand that my car would have had an AA13 plate as well. One day I'll have a proper reproduction made and put it on the front.

Interesting that the 212 Inter is taking so long to sell,

If it is 09119 it was originally Verde Scuro 19394 with Beige Scuro 846 interior, air conditioning and luggage shelf behind the seats.

    Hi Marcel,

Thanks for your response. Yes, my SN is 9119 and as you can see the car still wears its original colors (repainted once in 2004). The car came with Borranis and power steering but NOT air conditioning. It also had a removable rear luggage shelf and removable head rests- both long gone. The leather is perforated. The bottom of the door panels are carpeted. There are other unique features. I received confirmation of the car's history from the Prince himself 3 weeks before he died! The 2nd owner was his good friend and author Cornelius Ryan who wrote A Bridge Too Far where he references The Prince's role in WWII. I have written a many page document on the car's history.

Marcel do you have any other information on the car?

Factory says it had air conditioning and was delivered new to "Ford" in Paris, France. I have it in writing.

    Hi Marcel,

thanks. The car definitely doesnt have A/C. I saw the name Ford too in my research, but i think it was later assigned to the Prince. It has the usual color combo of the Prince (dark Green) along with the other special order stuff. There is no A/C listed in the build sheets (if it was to be listed on the build sheets). Can you email me what you have? [email protected].

    thanks

    Marcel,

Thanks again for the information you gave me through private message about Prince Bernhard and his ownership of my car, 9119. I guess it makes sense (if you are famous) to use an alias or front man (Ford) when buying the car.

Thanks also for contributing to Ferrari chat!

    Regards,

    Dan

These 330's are such attractive cars when done right.

In spite of the 0139/0269/0387 chassis number mess, I personally find this car to be very attractive - especially in its current, unrestored condition. I hope the new owner is sympathetic to that which is original.

For those who are interested, here are a couple of previous threads where this car was discussed, including photos:

    'handsome car, Dan. Very.

At the risk of being a tad off topic, would you mind sharing additional picures (perhaps in a new thread, if more appropriate)?

    Cheers,
