F12 should have its own forum - why mix it with any of the other cars - the 458 isn't mixed with the 430 although it's an evolution. The F12 is a different animal to the 599. My 50 cent!!

It is not an evolution. If it were it would be with the 430. It is a new chassis and new engine, a new platform.

This is the reason why I think the threads should be sectioned as ff/f12 and 599/612 as owners can share new discoveries, problems and even recalls, should any ironing out issues arise.

Plus it will make it much more difficult to search through the 599/f12 section for a topic relating to an issue with the 599 when there is people posting duplicate threads about f12 saying " check over in the ff section this has already been discussed there" or vice versa.

I vote for single sub-forums for both FF and F12. Will be easier to such for info rather than sieve thru the headings for 599 or F12.

I fully agree with the above posts.
Maintaining the 599/612 forum and adding the F12 to the FF forum is what would serve owners (and potential owners) best IMO.
I think that Fchat's current "generational" division of models works well.

As an FF owner and potential F12 owner there are so many similarities in systems etc etc that down the road when these cars are a few years old, second owners will really appreciate the trove of information applying to both models after the frenzy of this launch has dissipated. So my vote is FF/F12

I would like to change my vote to "612/FF together & 599/F12 together". Some genius posted some photos of the engine that changed my mind this afternoon. Best, David

If FF has it own forum, F12 should have one of its own too. If not, put it with FF

How about we have it in it's own section for now and once the "ooohhh new/shiny" phase is over we can put it in whatever section people voted for.

would be silly to lump all the soon to be order, anticipation, etc. posts with the now more settled technical, usage type posts the earlier models have transitioned into.

I agree. Keep the V12s together. Or go separate. You do that now for the California and the 458. There a big distinguishing thing is engine position. Here they are both front/mid V12s. However, if you do 612/599 and a FF/F12 forums then you are mixing Ferrari's "GT" cars (612, FF) and "extreme sports" cars (599/F12). I still like the idea of keeping V12 together.

Of course it would. Mechanically the F12 shares nothing, I repeat nothing with the 599. The issues that the 599 owners do and will experience will not be experienced by the F12 owners yet they are and will be experienced by the 612 owners. No one questions the grouping of the 456 with the 550 and 575.

Why is this so difficult for people to understand? Forget the car type, focus on the generation. If I was a 599 owner I would be pretty annoyed by all the F12 talk in "my" forum. :)

    Let's do this already.

Voted, yes it changed and it's gotten closer since then .
FF and F12 out there together as they should be. Especially after seeing the front and rear view comparison pictures Hawkeye shared...
