Just to drop you guys a line, This guy really has a collection of 355's. http://members.tccoa.com/someguy/F355collection01.jpg I thought that i had them all.
Does he ever.I never did get a 355 for my collection. The hot wheels ones suck though.I think the UT is probably the nicest one.
But he is missing the one from Rob Lay, hehe. Nice touch with the lifts though. The tools in the background look very familiar...
Nice collection - any more pics available? I tried changing "01" to "02" in the URL, but I got a 404 error. I wonder if he has any of those rare Miniminiera (on UT base) 355 Challenge cars. There are at least 5 different liveries (Slushpuppie etc.) and I've been searching for them for a long time. aawil - definitely get a UT 355, excellent model (for the price) and on eBay all the time. Dana - have you posted pictures of your collection? I may have missed the thread. Andreas - are you done with the F50 GT yet? If not, what's the hold up? Chop chop!
Actually I like the Hot Wheels "raced" version of the 355C in silver, even with discolored exhausts. Fairly realistic. As far as the F50 goes: You're right, I should post an update. Good progress has happened: The rear wing is off and I had to fill the holes. Also built the new engine lid and the cabin roof bump. All with Bondo and modeler's putty. Then sand it down. Then more putty. Sand. Putty. Sand. Putty...ad infinitum. After about six levels of bondo/putty it has now been completed and the entire car has been air brushed with real Ferrari rosso corso paint! It looks pretty cool so far. Now I have to work on getting all the details back on like the lights, the trim etc. Probably another month or so, but I think it will look pretty good once finished. I know, this post is useless without pictures. They will follow.
Sounds awesome Andreas - can't wait! (next project is F40LM?) Scott - thanks. Hope you got your two black F50s without any trouble.
Probably. Also learned a few tricks/limitations while working on the F50. Stuff I need to know/be able to for the LM car. But I got a couple of other modeling projects first: The Starfighter from Fiorano and fixing up some Ferrari slot cars. Never enough time...
I did. It was strange that he shipped both cars seperatly instead of together. One is up on Ebay with a few mods - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45352&item=3573763355
lol Scott - "a few mods"!!! I don't know what to say BTW - he told me that he ships each car seperately because the shipping is much cheaper that way. Works for us! Jimpo, you're lucky enough with that profile picture of yours. My goodness! Bless their Ferrari-lovin' hearts
Hi guys, New here, been collecting diecast for many years now. I don't own a real Ferrari yet but I am the owner of the F355's that are in the photo above. Cheers!! F355guy
hy F355guy, I'm Ferrari diecast collector too and nice to meet you. Welcome and i hope to know more about your collection. I saw your collection photos on web. very Nice !! Congratulations !! (http://members.tccoa.com/someguy/)
Well done F355 - really nice! Is that 360 a Cavallino? What's the story with the white F50 in the background? I've never seen that one. I've also never seen the bright green 456 - details? Do you have any of those Miniminiera/UT 355 Challenge cars? I assure you that everybody wants to see more pictures! Don't be shy Thanks. Joe
Welcome F355 Guy, all I can say is DAMMNN that is a nice collection. I noticed the white hard to find F50 Barchetta from Burago. That F50 is so sweet. This is not to mention the 456 collection, and that oh so sweet 360. Is that a Cavallino 360, because if it is, Cavallino is about to get five orders from me next week. Again, Welcome to the site.
Thanks again for warm welcome guys. Joe, The 360 is not from Cavallino. Its by burago. My g/f got it for me in neatherlands a couple of years ago. The green 456 is by burago also. Details aren't bad. The color is magnificent. I don't have any of the miniminiera 355's. I'll try to post some more pictures soon. Dana, The white F50 and blue 360 are both by burago.
