F355 Engine out - what else to look for?

Hi Ian as you know I am pulling my engine again. Which exact parts are you talking about here as I might as well give it a look see!
If you are talking about that 3 or 4 inch tube mine seems supper thick. I am not sure other than looking old if it would ever deteriorate. I can barely bend that stuff.

 

The fabric is disintigrating close to where it passes the radiators. Perhaps vibration induced wear and tear. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

I thought the thick rubber was only at the ends? Elsewhere it seems to have a wire frame with fabric on it (?)

 

My fabric feels tough, same stuff that goes to the brakes but thanks I will check it out
