    Hi, nice set!

do you have the black large wheel nut, the tyre pressure gauge, the tow eye hook and the extra set of wheel bolt pins?

Can you post more pictures of the service book, has it been used and stamped belonging to a particular car?

    many thanks
    Mark

Well, (smiling) we would normally say:

    Welcome to our Forum!!
Tell us more about how you came into these great books.....

As, it's a lady...or at least she appears to be....
    :D :D :D

What's the VIN of the car?
Did it crash, on West 34th street??

This is a legitimate offering. The OP is the wife of a long time Ferrari enthusiast, she listed the manual set and tools on his behalf.

    As I said, ahem ...."Welcome!!"

FerrariLiterature.com could give you an immediate valuation, if not buy them for their inventory.....

I would think there's $4 - $5K sitting on the table, there, as my 308GTB set is $4500 in the pouch.

Big Tex, your a great guy and contribute a whole lot, I remember you were an avid participant on my 275 GTB restoration thread...so i hope you give me the courtesy off yanking your chain and having a little giggle on this one.

FL they have 2 items listed under Tools and Parts:
    http://www.ferrariliterature.com/Parts---Tools
    a 599 air compressor and a 465 toolkit - not exactly connoisseur's corner.

They have lots of old pouches I agree and lots of posters, so i thought i would just look at one randomly - it is definitely very unique, like the non factory red folder that is described as unique - The 288 GTO pouch:
    http://www.ferrariliterature.com/products/prodid/8757
best line about the service book "Specific to 12 Cylinder Models."

but my favourite is the big yellow ashtray for $200, speaks for itself:
    http://www.ferrariliterature.com/products/prodid/8566/fn/Ash%20Tray%201%20(1)%20-%20Copy.JPG

only to be topped by what caught my eye as i was about to exit the site, the used wooden crate (that all dealers dump out the back for rubbish collection) for $1000:
    http://www.ferrariliterature.com/products/prodid/8571

only a bit of fun guys

I am interested in the F40 tool kit and books, but there are too many tools missing from the set, and the pouch is not an original F40 item - see below. Still there is some good stuff there, but i doubt its close to your estimate.

    cheers
    Mark

    Thanks my man!!

    *blushing*

I have had that critique leveled at me before:
"Helpfully contributing totally wrong information, as fact!"

I'll just be getting my hat and showing myself out....:D :D :D

Tune into my "wrecked the Ducati and almost died" thread in Rossa!
MotoGP Austin could have been my last day on the planet.

I feel better though, knowing my cigar is burning in a $200 ashtray!
    :D :D :D

I may need to get $150 for it, if her insurance stops writing checks....I think I went over $100K in medical in four days.

They should buy that huge stash of tool rolls in our ads!
They would be market makers, with that corner on inventory...
