    Hello ,
    I was wondering since the 288 GTO is a homoligated version of the 308 and the 288 is powered by a similar engine of the 308 , and the F40 is powered by a similar engine of the 288 likewise , how much do these engines differ ? Are they completely different blocks from each other or are they just slightly more sturdy ?
    I've head people reaching 500hp + with the 308 reliably and others saying it would probably last for a few hours.

    308 = bore X stroke : 81 mm x 71 mm
    F40 = bore X stroke : 81,6 mm x 69,5
    GTO = bore X stroke : 80 mm x 71 mm
    Same MR alloy....so same block, with different bore and stroke.

    Same block construction and design with difference for accommodating equipment, same rods, same crank with different stroke. From 250 to 348 with the exception of V6 and flat 12 the rods went unchanged.
