I just put a set up for sale in the classified section. They're super rare and hard to find. Just spreading the word as I am getting close to wrapping up the major on my car and it's better to know now what spares I'm keeping and which I'm parting with.

Here's a pic of identical wheels. You can ignore the older couple in the photo but I think they look "cute," as my old gf used to say.

I had those wheels also on my car back in the days .also did the brake upgrade . Not to mention the lm engine upgrade with 700 hp .

F40 will in my opinion go down as the best Ferrari ever built .
But one needed to do certain major upgrades . Because when i first got delivery of the stock car ,i was in tears .
Over time my team transformed my car that to this day was a dream to drive .
I have possibly driven many Ferrari's but the f40 is what will always stand out .

    Great photos!

I also did the brake upgrade, which is how I acquired the wheels. However, I decided to go another route on the wheels so these are on the market.

I agree with everything you said, by the way. Although I do think that the stock brakes are great. You just have to stand on them. They are good reminders that you're in some sissy car that gets out of trouble for you.

I always wanted to know about the design difference beteween front/rear in these wheels. Is there any story behind it?

    Nice wheels!!

What colour were the valve caps originally on the standard f40 wheels?

On a normal F40, the fronts are 8" and the rears are 13". In order to clear the big LM calipers, the fronts don't have a lot of dish to them. However, on a true LM where the bodywork accepts 11" fronts, the dish of those are more like the rear while still clearing the brakes.

But the design itself is different, rear spokes more rounded... am I the only one to notice?

My OEM wheels have a knurled chrome cap on each wheel. I think they're original to my car (1990). It's also worth noting that have the early oil cap/dipstick which has a file pattern on it and not the finger grip bumps on it as the later ones do.

Oh, sorry. I thought I had said it already: They're sold. Great F40 parts don't stay on the market very long!

    Thanks for the luck, though!

Sorry to resurrect this thread nearly 10 years on. But I though this might be a good place to ask. Does anyone know why these exact wheels are sometimes branded as OZ Racing and at other times Enkei? Were the wheels produced by both manufacturers concurrently, or was manufacturing passed on from one company to the other at a certain point in the '90s? Asking for a friend.
