So am I but that will have to wait for Evo and Anglesey as I don't want to steal their thunder.

Very lucky with a one hour dry weather window after this terrible rained out summer, but luckily it was all that was needed.

What happened to Dickie? Looks like he's lost a ton of weight. Some fancy new diet?

We have to go back to Anglesey just to finish things off, video especially, so I don't suppose for about three months after that.

If I could have 1 and only 1 car of any. THIS WOULD BE IT!! Enzo pass, La Ferrari pass, F50 pass, 918 Pass. Thank you so much for sharing all of your hard work and time with us mere mortals. Looking at your car motivates me to find a way to keep my 355! They are just so hard to acquire.

Thanks guys, it is just really appreciated to have such positive appreciation for the car after nearly 3 YEARS of doubt and worries over where this would end up.

It just dawned on me that I have been at this since November 2012 and by the time we have done the last leg at Anglesey, that will round it up to the full 3 years. Starting with a quick fix 6 month overhaul, and ending up with such a major commitment, both financially and from a time perspective, was never in my plans and the doubts, worries, issues, problems and decisions that have been strewn along the path have been exhausting for all of the team but regardless, it has been fun, and now very satisfying. To now know after Dickie has driven it in its finished form with sorted suspension, that he cannot think of but a handful of cars to match it for sheer excitement and exhilaration out of everything he has driven, really makes me feel the journey was justified. How someone like Jim must feel with his SG projects is beyond me.

With all that being said have you had any opportunity to drive your Ferrari yet beyond a pit lane?

I can't speak for everyone, but I know I sure didn't have any doubts while watching everything unfold! Now it's time for you to start enjoying it.

No, not this one at any speed as little point not being arrogant enough to consider myself skilled enough to test, accurately assess and feedback to engineers and so have left it to those who are more qualified to do this. That has lead us until yesterday when we finally have it sorted albeit still a few minor tweaks to make.

I will wait until after the final Evo shoot before getting to grips.

What wet summer? :). I was in England (the midlands) visiting my children and grandchildren from late July until mid August and it only rained one day. I guess I was lucky.
    Looking forward to the magazine.

I would call it "Italian variance"....jus' sayin'

In racing it's almost as important to get inside your opponent's head, as it is the weight of your foot.

    IMO.

I still continue to check this thread nearly every single day (or as often as my work/life schedule allows me a few free moments) and am so happy to hear that testing has gone well and that she is performing as flawless as she looks!

Congrats again, Tim, for having the most incredible F40 on this planet - I can't wait to see what comes of the Evo shoot!

Any updates on the books? :)

Thanks for your kind comments. Book 1 is effectively done but Book 2 awaits the final EVO day and then I want to include the article itself as the final entry. So very near, but........

Torture for me too still to get behind the wheel properly let alone see the video. I do not want to steal Evos thunder and they will do a far better job of it, slapping Go Pros all over the car and then professionally editing the result. Now that we are 100% ready after Donnington, we are just waiting for another date at Anglesey and the weather......3 years in November from the start of this project so relatively relaxed about this last step as I have become so accustomed to delay having initially expected it to be finished 2 and a half years ago.
