Hi Traveller, your LM is truly amazing. Would it be possible to get a link to the full size picture? Would like to use some as screensaver . Cheers Alex
A tight fit and the front clam had to come off and be refitted in situ, but finally, off on Holiday......... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I registered here just for this thread a while ago, and have been following with interest. Just to give Traveller a heads up, there's a channel on Youtube that seems to use other people's content to make videos (and probably some money). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQF_oOpEBOI
Yeah this video was posted in the general section earlier today. Some users quickly pointed out that it is Traveller's

As always Tim I'm late to the show ... So if I understood the car will be stored at ascari ?
Car is now at Ascari where I will start to use it in a few weeks time and hopefully do some video in due course. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not going to happen anything soon unless they buy an airplane ticket. Unfortunately the plan was compromised as it coincided with a change of Editor and editorial team and things were somewhat chaotic as a result. And I wanted to get on. Hopefully, I can piece something together or they might buy a ticket.
I'll buy a ticket and make a proper LM video with you driving the car Tim, if we can make schedules work out. In the business of making films anyway. Should not be any need for someone like him to call journos, the other way around is more like it.
Still stunning EVO do seem a little at sixes and sevens at the mo. Drive Tribe looks like a decent medium ( where JB and HC of EVO are)
Interesting idea and I may take you up on it-thank you. My first, gentle, introduction to the car is in two weeks time, which will at least give me the chance to start to learn what is clearly a very demanding circuit, so I wait to see how I get on with her.
Just stumbled upon your car (well, the cover I have to say.. didn't see the car itself) at Ascari last week and after a quick search I've found this topic. Amazing car, amazing restoration! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you and hopefully you might be there when she's next uncovered. An amazing two days at Ascari, albeit a few car issues still. A truly great track, demanding but very exciting, and set in the most beautiful environment. Drove a Cayman GT4 CS a beautifully balanced full race car and a 458 GT3 which was bonkers at this track. Despite losing some time when an F3 car speared off, we did get some track time which was a bit 'parson's eggish', meaning great in parts. First we need to retune the engine to allow for the attitude as running rich, but the principle problem was set up. When the car was corner weighted, for some reason it turned out the front was not totally level, being a little higher on one side than the other, we think as a consequence of the corner weighting possibly being done in isolation to the rest of the setup? Consequently, we only ran somewhat gently for probably 15/20 laps, but initial impressions were an epic motor, brakes and sound and overall a very physical experience, but just totally thrilling. Overall, it was definitely the right decision to send the car down there as it is just an amazing set up, beautifully managed (sensational food and note the carbon fibre menu holder), great back up and support which we will now test as we start to set the car up again from the ground up. By common agreement, the car just looked unreal at pace, and judged as the best looking car they had ever had there. Now we have to get it to perform to match the look. So now, more work, new slicks, and back in early June to see what progress we have made. Now that the restoration is complete is it out of Mototechnique's hands from this point on? Will the in-house technicians at Ascari handle the setup?
