I used hockey pucks for the pads between the jack and the car, they worked great on the front and back. I had to use two different jacks, a low profile one and set the car tires on blocks of wood, then a larger jack to get the tires high enough to put it on my ramps. I used the blocks of wood under the gap in the ramps in case the ramps collapsed. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thank you so much @spvisd for the detailed write-up, this is hugely helpful! An FYI on the ATE Super Blue, it seems it is no longer readily available, I reached out to ATE, this was their response (I presume they may have run into an issue with the dye they were using?): That is correct what you say, the ATE brake fluid ATE Super Blue Racing is no longer offered for sale in the ATE Aftermarket. The replacement for these brake fluid is the ATE Typ 200. The difference between the 2 fluids is only the blue color from the ATE Super blue racing. Otherwise they are identical.
Necroing this thread just to note that it's much easier to get to the gearbox drain bolt if you unlatch the support that holds the F1 lines in place. (Nothing that I have a manual conversion with ediff. Not sure if F1 has more lines here.) Here's the piece I'm talking about. There are two bolts to loosen. The only thing this piece does is secure the hydraulic lines. You can loosen it without worrying about anything falling. Image Unavailable, Please Login Once loose, you can swivel the holder down. This creates plenty of room to get to the drain plug with any normal 12mm hex head on a ratchet extension. No need for a special tool. This little hack turned it into a quick and easy chore (except of course when I pulled the plug I discovered it had been previously stripped. Don't overtighten!) Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had the same exact thing happen to me. Whoever the hell came up with 75Nm for the torque spec must have been on meth! Gnarled one on the right. Image Unavailable, Please Login
