Does anyone know if there is any chance in the future of Ferrari releasing another gated manual car? I heard there may be a race only run of manual vehicles Ferrari may be releasing?... Has anyone heard anything?

    Not going to happen.

Why would they go back to inferior technology that no one wants to buy?

I think All "Modern" manual transmission ferraris are about to skyrocket in price. You see young guys like myself who grew up raised on ferraris like the 348, 355, F50 etc are now coming to the age where if we have done well enough we can begin affording these cars we grew up with and guess what? none of us are interested in F1 transmissions! Its going to be a matter of supply and demand.

Thats what they all say about every model, and then look what happens. Mondial being the only exception, still worth $25k

I fully agree it is about supply and demand. Every day more modern high volume Ferrari’s are being produced, 458 numbers and no doubt 488 are much higher again compared to 360 and 430 as our dear FIAT leader continues his drive to increase production numbers of Ferrari in general (personally I see Ferrari going down the same path as Porsche in this respect).
Add to that there were only a few hundred, not thousands of gated 360 and F430 spiders and tin tops models ever produced. How can that not become rare and sought after !!

I’d love to see any of you ‘point n click’ boys (regardless of age) knock back a 250 or GTO etc because it was a crappy manual without double clutch technology

On the contrary they have shot up dramatically. There is one navy blue 66k kms one on Carsales now asking price $AUD 230k. Clearly huge demand has pushed up prices for theses as well

I've driven various cars with dual-clutch gearboxes, from Golf GTI MKVI to Ferrari 458, and after owning my manual 360 for nearly 6 years I would trade it on a 458 with a reasonable premium (say, $50k like in UK rather than $200k in Aus) in a heartbeat. 458 is so much better suited to the modern environment and the way I use the car it's not funny.

Out of curiosity, have you taken an F430 F1 for a spin?

yes, good transmission but in my opinion not worthy of swapping 360 for. If I'm going to do it I may as well get a newer generation car, not a facelift.

I went down that road a few years back......I drove the 430 but couldn't justify selling the 360 for it.....The 360 just felt more old school....I preferred it.....My circuit breaker then popped and I bought a 308 and a 355.....I still love my 360......I've got issues.....:)

....and a much nicer more valuable collection of cars. In years to come as that lot continues to go up and up in $ the only issue you’ll have is should I sell and cash in on the windfall
