    Well, at least it was in Shaumburg. Anybody ever see this "one of a kind" F430 or know who owns (owned) it? I wouldn't really want his signature on my car, but it's still cool.

    Edit: you'll probably realize this from looking at the page, but if anyone wants to take a field trip before it leaves the state, it's being sold at Shaumburg Audi.

    The priced should be reduced because somebody/anybody autographed the side of the car.

    Signing the side of the car is strange and tacky. It does detract.

    Signing the co's side dashboard however is the ultimate chic.

    Totally agree. Plus, what do you do down the road when you need to polish the car to remove towel marks, etc? Detail the whole car but leave that one spot untouched? And how well does ink (or paint pen? - can't tell which, but who cares) hold up in the sun, against washing and drying, etc.? Just stupid IMHO. He should have signed the tire treads while he was at it.

    Like the original pen used to sign the door !!

    1860 miles in 3 years...what a shame.

    I thought it looked awful -- really awful. I pondered these three things when I saw the car in 2005 shortly before it was delivered and before I met its original owner:

    1. Why in the world?;
    2. How will he unload it?; and
    3. How can I get the carbon fiber engine bay window grilles the factory installed for him? They were very cool.

    I never got the answer to question numbers 1 or 3, but I guess we'll collectively find the answer to number 2, sometime in the future.
