Tough call. I like my F430 but I am not sure it looks better than the 360 Modena I traded in.

The dealer in Florida had a 599 which I saw close up and heard. It is beautiful
so I can't decide. I probably like the agile handling of the F430 better. The mechanics at the dealership say the 599 is better in everyway over any Ferrari including the F430 Enzo etc.

Anyway I ordered one that should arrive in first part of 2008. The dealer had one coming in early next year but he wanted $150k over list. I'll wait a year and do close to list. The bloom may be off the rose by then. The dealer also said he has heard there will be a convertible in 2009. Thank you very much :)

    purely subjective

both look really good, to me the F430 looks better...

You wouldn't have to twist my arm to drive either one though :)

I like both of them although the 599 could have looked better if it had the aggressive headlights(the headlights of the F430 are just amazing,no wonder why pininfarina chose it for the P4/5,well slightly modified) of the F430 and 4 rear lights. I haven't seen a 599 in person but let me put it this way 599 =beautiful,F430=sexy
F430 is more sporty and the 599 is more classy.
Could some one post a pic of a 599 beside an F430??
I have been looking for this pic but i couldn't find one.

The front of the Corvette doesn't turn you off? I think it looks Asian (Mitsubishi 3000GT ghosts).

I haven't warmed up to the 360/430 'face' either, but I'd give the 599 higher marks in front view than any of the other cars mentioned. (Except the 550/575 trump all of them - saw a black 550 today and it's a heartbreaker.)

Yes, of course it is. That is why all those hemi chargers are worth more than a junkie old 275GTB4.

Seriously, for me - the last really good-looking Ferrari was the 355 in rear engine and the 550/575 in front engine. I hate to say it, but I think both Lamborghini models beat either the 430 or the 599 in pure looks.

    Hope this changes someday...

In that case you're more of a corvette guy than a Ferrari person.

Front V 12 engine is the essence of a Ferrari, so 599 wins for me, but not in black, please !

F430 Coupe. The 599 is very nice, but just a bit bulky for my tastes. I like the smaller footprint of the mid-engine V8s.

I like the looks of the 599 in person, but I don't like the size. It's much too big to be a sports car, in my humble opnion.... The 430 isn't the best looking Ferrari made recently, the 355 holds that honor, but the look has been growing on me, and I guess when mine shows up in Feburary or March, I'll have to live with it. I love the performance however, which is the reason that I have these cars.

599GTB by a long shot IMHO...in fact, the 599 is the best looking production Ferrari in decades...I just hope they depreciate like the 550/575s did so I can buy one in a few years for $100k or so...

FYI, Ferrari was making cars for 2 decades before it made it's first mid-engined road car...

One thread above you claim youth as the source of your ignorance, then you pull up these two examples of femdom from the 80's. Hell Carbon, you weren't even born the last time Anna was a hotttie!!!

Oh yeah, this is a car board...
I really dislike the 430 rear end and find nothing about the 599 that i really dislike. I prefer the front of both cars to their respective rears but will cast my vote for the 599.

    A Hobson's choice...

The 430 is an anime bastardization of the clean, beautiful, if porcine, 360, and the 599 'Zeta Zero-Sei' is the 'blind man's Ferrari'.

    ...Whither Pinin Farina?

LOL, I didn't like ANS when she was a "hottie" - I liked her when she was both beautiful and sexy all at the same time as a rubenesque, full-figured queen of voluptuousness...!!!

I know that, but it's still too damn big. If I want a Cadillac with performance, I'll buy one and turbo it.

FYI, the G in GT stands for Grand...Per Ferrari the 599 is faster around its test track than the 430...so it must handle pretty good to go with its great looks and speed. I have seen one in person and it just doesn't seem that big to me...if you want a small car with performance, buy a Lotus ...
