That was a beautifully speced car. Not sure how a white interior would wear. Well bought and fairly sold in IMHO.
what an amazing and beautiful car, spec and color combo-- That car will sell for 410-420 easily if 'he' wants to flip it.
With BAT, a lot depends on the timing of the auction. If an auction ends right after a holiday weekend or around a holiday it tends to not do so great. Same with the time of day it ends. Very strange system and sometime no rhyme or reason why the prices ends up where they do.
Resale values of the F8 certainly appear stronger than either the 296 or SF90. Even though it's an older car.
I’m not surprised at all. The F8 doesn’t have any of the hybrid or haptic issues currently plaguing the 296.
Who isn't afraid of potentially having to replace a faulty battery pack? ICE cars do have fewer potential points of failure.
I’m not as I think the white interior is gorgeous , it may scare a lot of folks off such as myself. It’s a blue jeans nightmare. Also I this market is sluggish at the moment. Let’s see if it pops up for sale or it went to an end user.
I only wear gym shorts in my car. Sometimes khakis. I am not even kidding. Nothing is going to mess up my interior. No jackets inside, no drinks, no watches, nothing.
Same in Europe apparently, in spite of the huge performance gap a used F8 is only marginally less expensive than a used 296. Of course I'm biased, but to me that makes the 488 the current bargain of the market; objectively it is very close to the F8 (in terms of performance and design) and sells for a lot less.
Ferrari should have skipped 488. A child between 458 and F8. It should had been: 458 --> F8 --> F8 Pista or 458 --> 488 --> F8 --> F8 Pista 488 Pista owners are pissed due to F8 Tributo. Same engine, much better/modern car over 488 Pista, not limited to 500-1000 units, etc. Ferrari made about +/- 3500 Pista. Plus F8 gave tribute to Ferrari v8 engines.. I am thinking 12Ci might repeat history, might be last of NA v12 (similiar as F8 to v8, 12Ci to v12). F12 --> F12 tdf --> 812 --> 812 Competizione --> 12Ci (same engine as 812 Competizione) Oh well
I stopped bidding bcuz of the lack of lifter and parking sensors...regret backing out thou you guys all gave great feedback on not needing them, I just see cars w/o those features sitting around for awhile at dealers ...and effects the resale value 29-25k. Also the Carbon wheels were gorgeous, but found out that IF one wheels gets curb rash you have to Buy a Full Set of 4 wheels...that will set you back 40k... Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Plus the V8 had its own appeal for some of us. The MSRP jump with the 296s must help F8 values too. If the 296 base was closer to the F8's, I'm sure it would have had more impact on the F8 market.
I spoke with my local F Dealer and they confirmed that they are Only sold in a set of four and in-fact showed my a customers F8 that was in his service department that had damaged one of their Carbon wheels and had to purchase a set of four to replace their one wheel... . Said the only way to buy a single Carbon wheel would be if you found one online from an owner that had already replaced their wheels and had a few left over...and than again if you found one on-line it would have to be the exact wheel..(example Right Front, Etc). ..maybe other members might be able to confirm their experience.
No they don’t. Far more moving parts on an ICE car, oh and then there is that lump of metal that has all those explosions going off inside it every second.. It’s just all about the single point of failure that is the battery, and its longevity is an unknown quantity. This will pass. The biggest issue from my point of view is insurance of cars with batteries, the batteries are high value items that are typically distributed across a wide area in the car. Small accidents have the potential to damage just a small part of battery which writes off the whole pack and in many cases the car. Hence insurance premiums are over the top .. at least in my land
