I have been offered the same money for my 488 GTB that I bought almost 4 years ago. Wont sell, never. I feel sorry for the guys that upgraded from the 488 GTB to the Pista , They felt the loss A LOT.
@harrish1985 I believe the feeling conveyed by @MANDALAY was trade-in value (or selling) of the 488 years ago before the recent run up in prices and the "loss" being how much that trade/selling value has changed since then and not that moving to a Pista represented any loss in "driving experience", of course, Pista values have also increased, so no actual financial loss at all
I'm going to be a presumptuous here and say that I don't you have to feel sorry for any Pista owners out there.
Yes , but my comment is more to do with the fact they they got raped when they handed in their 488 GTB's.
Sorry for the misunderstanding Trade In. 488 GTB's bought for $600 k plus were only getting around $350 k. They got raped. At one stage there were over 40 cars for sale. That's a LOT. Normally as like now there is about 5 - 8 cars and now they are all higher mileage ones.
Lets put it in perspective so you understand my comment correctly. Person A 488 GTB bought $650 k here ( just go with the flow as our cars are dearer ) Bought a Pista $800 k. Was told 488 GTB trade in would be around $490 k. But when the Pista came in all they got was $330 k That an extra 160 k IF they were so lucky. The Pista buyers got shafted. Never had a Ferrari in our market ever drop so low on a change over. That's the origin of my comment I feel for the Pista owners at that time when they realised that they needed much more to get their Pista. 160 k isnt loose change.
That's a lot of assumptions my friend. It's almost like you made up a fantasy reality ex post facto to justify your initial post. For some real context. I came from a 488 to a Pista. I did not pay anywhere close to 650k for my 488, and likewise, I did not get anywhere near 330k when I traded it in (of course, I didn't pay anywhere near 330k for the 488 to begin with.) And, of course, I didn't pay 800k for a Pista. As much as I love my Pista, no way would I pay 8 large for the car. Again, lots of assumptions of my friend. So I am going to say it again, I would garner most if not all of the Pista owners in these neck of woods do not need your sympathies. Thank you.
Maybe you should look at my profile at the top AUSTRALIA. I know you prefer to hide your place of origin and everything else but I do wonder why. Please YOU are the one assuming. But alas let me see if I can get my mate to join FChat and PM you , that you are talking crap. Such an angry response. Were you not breast fed ? Just asking. That's the prices for our cars over here in Australia.
Definitely they have no regrets going to the Pista . My comment was I felt sorry for them at the time when they traded in they received much less for their 488 GTB than they expected to get. Either way yes they are laughing to the bank and gained much more but it will only be noticed when they sell. In the mean time they had to fork out between 150 - 200 K more than they expected. But a Pista you cant go wrong this one at Image Unavailable, Please Login Estimated Drive Away Price (DAP) $1,416,941 * The thing is over here we pay more for our cars ( harder to get in ) but its also reflected in the price we can sell our cars. I have a buyer for my 488 GTB at $605,000 thats $ 423,5000 USD but I bought it for $395,000 USD.
I thought his passion was to make sure no one ever, ever specs the standard fabric roof lining on their new build...
Prices are going crazy! I put a deposit o Huracan Tecnica and they are already asking me to have my F8 Spider!!!!
Mandy, don’t be so sensitive. Every once and a while, you make some pretty whacky comments. No big deal.
