I did not see any mention of this on the site anywhere and thought it worthy of posting now that Fabrice Muamba's condition is inproving. Long and short of it was that in the 41st min of the Bolton v. Tottingham Soccer match, 23 year old Fabrice Muamba collapsed with what appeared to be a massive heart attack. The game was suspended, medics rushed onto the field and began CPR and AED treatment, which failed to the horror of the fans in the stands, many of who broke into tears. They continued this treatment for 78 minutes before his heart re-started. I would guess that his soccer carreer is over, but the fact that he is alive is truely remarkable. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty-tackle/fabrice-muamba-effect-dead-78-minutes-thierry-henry-005906845.html
Steve did start a thread in UK; http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=360647 But, this does seem like a slightly better location for it. Latest I read was the prognosis was looking very good though. Folks in Bolton in shock apparently. Best wishes for a full recovery dude, Cheers, Ian
Sitting up to watch Bolton win the rescheduled match 3-1 over Tottingham. http://twitter.com/#!/fmuamba/status/185708452457365504/photo/1
I just did a quick search and couldn't find anything more up to date than from last week - Anyone have any updates? Seems to have gone ominously quiet BTW, a small point; It's "Tottenham", not "Tottingham" [Generally abbreviated to "Spurs"] Cheers, Ian
Oops.... Thanks. I was cheering for Bolton and not the other guys..... Funny, cause when I say it, I say Tottenham correctly, but when I type it, I do it wrong.
