I have seen some pics on Instagram. It seems like there are less than 50 cars.

    Here is what i saw on IG that was memorable : 2 F50, 4 F40, 1 288, 2 BBi, 2 275 GTB, 1 330 GTC, Daytona Spider prototype, 1 F1 car, 1 250 SWB

There are about 88 Ferraris in today's Concours d'Elégance.
This includes two 212 Export (one a Touring Barchetta, the other a Vignale Cabriolet) and a Boano, an SWB Berlinetta, three 250 GT Cabriolets, about six Daytonas, two 365 GTC/4s, a 275 GTB/6C, a 330 GTS, eight TRs, three F40s, two F50s, about ten 430s, a 250 GTE 2+2, a 599 GTO, the ex Harrah Daytona Hot Rod (painted Rame Metallizzato), the one off Daytona Speciale Paris 1969 Show car, a 365 GT4 BB, a 288 GTO, etc.

Here's 212 Export Barchetta Touring #0102 E, freshly restored by Ferrari Classiche in Maranello and airfreighted last week to USA, today at the FCA Concours in Daytona. The "823" livery is from the 5 August 1951 III Giro delle Calabrie where Pietro Palmieri and co-driver Ballecchi placed 2nd OA and 1st in class with this great car.
    NOT my photos.

It seems that a 250 GTO REPLICA was allowed to park in between the FCA concours cars, during the FCA judging process yesterday at Daytona. As an owner of a classic Ferrari I would not want that and it does surprise me that this has happened.

I judged at the Concours and the Coppa Bella Machina. I was told there were 110 cars in total, but that may include both judged and display-only cars.

The weather on Tuesday was terrible: lots of rain and thunderstorms. Which meant lots of scrambling to clean cars before Wednesday morning. But the weather was beautiful, albeit record-setting hot and humid, and the display of the cars in the FanZone at Daytona was nice.

Given that this was a Wednesday, it didn't seem like there were that many people, especially the public, attending the Concours. But once I got done my judging duties, it was nice to walk around the cars without having crowds of people around.

The 212 Export that Marcel referred to above was absolutely stunning. And, yes, I was also puzzled at the inclusion of the replica 250 GTO in between all of these authentic and frankly breathtaking cars.

    Here.
Using chassis 1273 GT and engine 2573 GT.........
(1273 GT originally was a lovely 250 GT Pinin Farina Coupé in Grigio Fumo 16672 MM with red leather VM 3171 and delivered new to Garage de Montchoisy SA in Geneva, Switzerland). The GTO Replica was built in 1992 by Greg Jones using chassis #1273 GT as donor. This same replica was also observed behind the paddock during the Ferrari Factory Finali Mondiali 1 to 4 December 2016 at Daytona.

Car on left (of the GTO replica) is 250 GT Coupé Pinin Farina Chassis #0447 GT.
Car on right is 212 Export Cabriolet Vignale Chassis #0110 E, the fantastic Best of Show winner at Cavallino January 2017, sensationally restored by David Carte for Peter S. Kalikow.

Perhaps a thinly veiled attempt to crack the door open for future inclusion of other questionable or otherwise excluded examples ?

This is the same replica that was at Finali Mondial a few months ago? Looks like they enjoy bringing it to Daytona.

From the pics it seems no where near the Finali Mondial. :/

That would be awfully hard to eclipse though.

I spoke with the owner of Ferrari of Central Florida a few weeks back and he said we'll probably never see that again (in Daytona, at least) during our lifetime.

Not odd at all. This is #12925, a special one-off by Pininfarina, shown at Paris Motor Show 1969. Superrare and never restored.

What did you think about 0846 at Pebble Beach in 2004?

I would like to know more history about the 250 GTO replica, whether recreaton from GTE etc or 100% replica. I'm extremely disappointed to hear this.

OK, this is really upsetting me. However, I believe I heard Jim's 0846 has been welcome to FCA Nationals as display only. Maybe this is similar case and this car has original Ferrari chassis and engine.
