February 28th European Car Gathering @ PAPPAS Brothers BBQ

Old Car Fans -
Last year a bunch of us Mercedes-Benz fans had a very successful casual
afternoon gathering to show off our old Mercedes cars. And now, it's
time to do it again, and we'd like to also invite others to bring their
old cars too, we'd love to see some great vintage BMW's, Porsche's, etc.


So here's the plan.... On Saturday, February 28th, there will be a very
informal Saturday afternoon gathering of people who have "old" Mercedes
cars, and other cool old cars. Personally, I define "old" as anything
1985 or older, but there are no firm rules. The place is Pappas
Barbecue in Dallas, over on Loop 12 just west of I/35. Plan to show up
around noon, or whenever you get there. The intent is for people to
bring out their old cars and show them off. No car is "unworthy" of
participating - we've had everything from pristine show cars to rust
buckets that hardly run. If you don't own an old car, but just like
looking at them you're welcome too, more is merrier. Let's plan to start
at about noon, and shoot for an approximate eating time of about 2:00,
although recognizing that there is no set agenda of any type. Pappas BBQ
is not charging for the privilege of meeting in their parking lot, so
please patronize them. This will be an informal "come when you want to,
eat when you want to, pay your own tab, leave when you want to" type of
gathering, will not be limited to MBCA members, and will not be an
official MBCA event. Also, if you're interested in selling your car
this will be a great place to show it off. If you know others who might
be interested, please forward this to them. This is only being
publicized by e-mail, so your help in spreading the word is appreciated.

If you're planning to attend please send me a quick reply at

how many cars/people to expect. Also, let me know what year and model
of car you'll be bringing.

We'll plan to meet regardless of the weather. There are about twenty
covered parking spots - these will be reserved for old Mercedes cars,
we'll have a separate nearby area to display the other makes. Hope to
see you there.
