Hi, Can anyone provide the connector pin assignments for the molded 3 pin connector on the 360 Cam Position Hall sensor. Specifically, I'm looking for the electrical connection information for Bosch sensor PN 000177673 or alternate PN 0232103026. Also wondering how to identify Pin 1 on the connector. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using this sensor in a customized application and need to know which pins are to be connected to Ground, 12V and 5V pulse (signal). Thanks, Nino

I believe this is the view looking at the sensor (metal) contacts .

The wire colours shown above... V (green), SN (pink/black) and N (black) are actually the car harness wire colours (not the sensor wire colours). The wire positions will be flipped for the car harness.

Pin 1 is 12 volt power from the Motronic Master relay (L/R). Does the car have power? The relay is energised by the respective engine ECU with the ignition on and ECU self test completed).
Pin 2 goes to the respective ECU (signal) pin 42
Pin 3 is a fixed earth.

    Hope this makes sense.

Pin numbers are written on the sensor connector.
Note that the sensor, by itself, does not deliver 5V pulses on pin 2. The output stage is an "open collector". This means that it must be polarised by the ECU : +5V + resistor to get 5V pulses, +12V + resistor to get 12V pulses ...

Is the circuit a pull up or pull down type circuit? In otherwords, does the ECM send out a 5 Volt signal with the sensor pulling down the signal to 0 Volts to create the digital pattern in reference to the trigger wheel or does the ECM send out a 0 Volt signal and the sensor pulls up the signal to 5 Volts creating the digital signal?

    Pull down.
The sensor is grounding the polarisation signal coming from the ECU (+5V through a resistor).
