I am about to order the accumulators mentioned in one of the threads here; for the Mercedes Benz W124 and W210.

I did notice that there a number of different pressures, 23 BAR, 75 BAR and 155 BAR.

Any idea what is the recommended pressure for the 412?

I have renovated the suspension on my 1987 Ferrari 412 including change of suspension bushings, servicing the front shock absorbers and changing accumulators for the self-levelling on the rear axle. At the same time the suspension arm parts where glass blasted and the chromated / painted.

The job in general went ok – required some time and access to machines helped - milling machine for removing flange on some of old bushings and hydraulic press for pressing bushing out/in.

For the accumulators I used the Mercedes CORTECO 21653060 that has been recommended here on FC. I made an adaptor plates that was powder coated. Reducer M16x1.5 to M10x1 (SPD 28915-M16-10b) is needed for the top thread. A standard short M10x1 brake bleed nipple is used to block the side hole in the accumulator.

I used suspension bushings for Superformance in UK. They in general are OK. I had a problem with the rubber for the rear anti roll bar (no 108745). The new rubber has a hole for a OD20mm roll bar, but my roll bar is 22 mm in diameter. Not a big problem because the old one was OK. Now I wonder if I have received wrong parts or are some 412 equipped with OD20 mm anti roll bars?

The rear Koni “shock absorbers” / hydraulic cylinder was not renovated because I didn’t find companies in Europa that renovates them. Does anyone here on FC know EU company that renovates the Koni rear absorbers? It is not critical, but it is nice to know if one day there is a problem.

Got it through road worthiness test without problems so I could get a little driving before winter comes.
