Both look extremely good and are both high performance, but which one would you pick and why?

I think the 458 Italia looks better

I would argue the 458 is better, but then again then a 458 might be better since it has the same engine. But some days I think the 458 is better since they share the same transmission. My friend swears by his 458, but my other friend says his 458 is faster, so it's better becuase it has the same suspension.

Which car do you think is better, the 360 or 360 Modena?

All kidding aside, do you mean 458 vs 488?

I think it depends on your priorities.

    Latest & Fastest - 488
    Sound - 458.

honestly with how fast cars are today, the difference between a 458 and 488 is negligible. People forget just 20 years ago the acceleration these cars have was reserve for super cars of the time like F50. Hell its nuts that a new porsche turbo can do 0-60 in sub 3 seconds for $200k when a decade ago the only car that could was a bugatti for $2m. The 458 is a tad less quick but the noise more than makes up for it haha

Uh...I don't often correct folks on forums and especially since I am a noob here, but the GTR (aka Godzilla) was doing sub 3 seconds for <$100k 10 years ago.

But I have to agree with your sentiments...I have long forgotten or stopped chasing the "fastest" car mantra. Just like computers, there will always be something faster in a couple of years. Nowadays, I go for things that stir the soul!

It was advertised as 3.5. not sub 3. I had one when it came out in 2009

I think the latest GTRs are now sub 3.0 sec.

    OP has left the building.

But ya, GTR, Tesla, hellcat etc...lots of cheap fast cars today. Not sure where things go from here. Will there be a 1.5sec car that makes 3 sec cars seem slow? It will have to be self driving to have a chance at being safe. what’s the fun in that? I don’t even like roller coasters.

According to Motor Trend 0-60 times, a 2009 GTR was 3.2 sec, 2012 was 2.9 sec, 2013 was 2.8 sec. I remembered the 2009's were going for around $70k, but the prices ballooned to well over $100k by 2012. So yes, sub 3.0 second cars could have been had for much cheaper than $1 million and much earlier.

    Trust me. Th
There was such a legal fiasco for Gtr when it came out regarding the launch control failure in the context of its advertised 0 to 60 times.

Yeah, I guess as long as you can do one run under launch control for the listed time, that is the claim. Nissan never said it can do it repeatedly...LOL.

But on a serious note, that GTR fiasco is no different than the so many of other car models that claim "track" status or this and that. I.e., current Z06 and GT350 owners with heat related track failures. 991.1 GT3 engine failures, and so on and so forth

It is really hard to say :). IMO the 458 is the best one here. :D
