AUS Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

Saw a 355 GTB at a local car meet Sat, and it turned out to be a local F-chatter. The car was great looking, even if he kept saying how dirty it was Enjoyed chatting that night, and it was def a treat! Thanks, Tom!

 

Was that Tom, with the dark red 355B? If so he is a real nice guy. I rode in his Ferrari at the Make-a-Wish event.

I believe that is called Rossa Barchetta.........the original Ferrari color.

David, I am glad to hear the F40 is back. How long until it gets on the road again? Or is it already? Thank's for correcting me on the color. I thought it was Rossa-Barchetta but, I wasn't sure. I didn't know that was the original Ferrari color.

At 1:00pm today, I saw a red 360 Modena with shields and no Challenge grill on Mopac. It looked so nice coming up behind me but, I couldn't hear any exhaust note.
It looks like the one yall said was luke's but it has a different license plate. The second picture was through my dirty windshield.

silver 360 in barton creek, then i also saw a white 25th aniv. countach on 620 yesterday.

 

I saw a gorgeous Black on grey leather 360Modena w/ no shields, no challenge grilles in front or back, at the yacht club in horseshoe bay, Lake LBJ.

 

haha texasmike that guy lives down my uncle's street off of westlake, its what made him get the gallardo. sick diablo, idles like a gallardo's full throttle.

 

I have never seen a Gallardo in person. Does your uncle go to the Ferrari breakfasts? If he doesn't you should tell him to come by next time so we can check it out.

 

dont really know of the ferrari breakfasts? not quite sure what they are myself either, but i gather its a group of ferrari owners meeting for breakfast.. hah

if you pm me when the next time yall meet up, then ill be sure to pass the word on to him though. but hes busy working 6 days a week..afterall haha a lot of work goes into these toys.

David - there was a thread in OT, but I'm not going to link it. He lurks, but refrains from posting any further. You could say it is a sabbatical or permantent one - which in my opinion, needs to be done from time to time in order to separate yourself from attitudes, discussions and arguments on forums.

 

Not a Ferrari but, I just spotted a dark grey Aston Martin Vanquish on 360 about a hour ago. Beautiful car.

 

Parked under Maudies earlier this afternoon. Didn't know it was there until he started it up. Made me stand up from my lunch on the balcony to see what made that noise. Sounded fantastic. Looked almost as good. I think I've just found my next "non Fcar" toy to aspire to.....

I was washing my TR this Saturday morning in the driveway when I heard the familiar sound of another Ferrari coming down the street. I looked up and saw one of my neighbors in a Silver 1981 308 GTS pass by and waive. When I finished washing my car I dropped by his house to introduce myself and inquire about the car. He purchased it new at the LA Car Show in 1981 and has owned it ever since. He keeps it locked away in his third garage and rarely drives it. He had flown his California mechanic down this weekend to do a little repair job on the fuel injection system. He asked where we Autinites get our cars serviced and I dopped Moorespeed's name on him. I'll see if I can get him to join us in one of our future events. It's a very cherry car.

I just pulled up next to Ron Wilson in his Lamborghini Diablo GT at the corner of Westlake Dr. & 360.

 

man.... I really want to see that car.

 

I'm sure he would not mind you coming over for photos. He lurks on FChat now that I turned him on to it. He just dropped it off here at my shop for some custom header work.

Yall will get a kick out of this....... a Porsche 996 customer just picked up his car and complained there was more Ferrari's than Porsche cars at the shop......and there's quite a few P cars here........ ;-) Thanks guys....I appreciate the word of mouth
