    I just recently purchased a 2010 Ferrari California fro private party. Low and behold the release button for the gas doesn't open the door. I have to do it manually with the string in the trunk. Any suggestions before I start spending money.

    I presume that if you were handy you would have told us already that you checked the corresponding fuse, pulled and checked the switch, and the applied 12v to check the actuator. I can't think of anything that will result in a magical cure without doing the above...

    Could be alignment of the hinge, catch or door too.
    I got used to that with Aston.

    Spot on vrsurgeon. I will take the switch out and short it to see if actuator sounds.
