Write down the date of JULY 24th for the annual Ferrari BBQ at my ranch All members are invited and even the one from outside this region. Let us know who is coming, we have already chosen and start fattening a big pig !!! Bring a side dish See you Roland F40LM
Hey Roland; Hope to see you at Dave Helm's new shop. By the way, us Italians prefer those suckling pigs not exceeding 20 days old. I'm sure you know about them babies.
Count us in for that one! Better put us down for 4, Niki would never miss an outting at the ranch. Plug the leak in the pond so a pre dinner swim is in order. Dave
OK OK, I better find a bigger pig. Dave, for the pond, only mother nature can give us enough water to take a plouf in the pond !! Time will tell. This will be a fun BBQ Roland F40LM
Roland, Not a bigger pig- just many more baby pigs! Remember the key is not to exceed 20 days old. I have read that many a Spaniard have tossed the plate to the floor with the knowledge that their piggy was 21 days or older. However, I don't believe you need to worry about sweeping up 21 or 22 day old piggies. Even Helm's won't be able to taste the difference! Ciao
Oh yeh! A real culinary expert here! My knowledge of roasting a pig is to to dig a hole in the ground, fill with charcoal, find a pig that it takes 4 guys to hoist onto the spit and find some frat pledge to rotate for 2 days. This is how pigs were roasted back in the Norweigen Riviera (aka, Minnesota).
That'a what I like with the F.peoples, they culinary too !!!! Since I'm no expert, I sure will contact you guys for the digging... This will be some BBQ, can't wait. Till than, I got to get the LM on the road. The car will be on the Ice at the Budweiser Ice skating ring Saturday evening before the Eagle's game. Hope to see some of the Colorado F boys. Take care Roland F40LM
Can you email me directions? My wife and I would love to come - shall I bring a case of nice Barolo?? Rob Stevens [email protected]
[Hello Rob, you and your wife are more than welcome. Jim Walters will e-mail all the members and you'll get a map to the ranch. They have the Horsetooth road open around the lake, so I have to make new directions since this will be very pretty to drive. Just bring a side dish to join the pig and some chickens. Hope you can make it. The B will be welcome Roland F40LM
Hey there! How about some Texans!!!! You need some Texans at the BBQ! Send a map also to me, and we'll have a nice summer drive!
Hello Speedy, You bet that a TX is welcome here. You might learn a thing or two about Colorado BBQ...It would be nice to have visitors from out of state. I'll e-mail a map by regular e-mail. Where are you in TX.? It got to be straight North on I 25... Take care Roland
This is to flat for me, I like to see some hills to challenge... It would be good for your eyes to change terrain !!!You need to feel what your car will do at 9000 feet... take care, Roland F40LM
