My buddy asked me why most Ferraris are driven in Race mode. I figured this easily explains it...

Jokes aside, what do you drive in mostly? I prefer race mode because the car seems to respond much quicker. Engine / Transmission / Suspension has better feedback.

CT off mostly as you get to slide around a bit without the risk of spinning the car :)

CT off is where the fun is at! Since I started using it I have become a real convert. I used to use race mode for everything but discovered a mixture of sport and CT off is the best. It maximises Ferrari’s excellent approach to driver aids - you can still lose traction, which is good sometimes deep in a bend to maximise throttle-steering, yet stability control is still there if you really do something stupid and SSC makes it very difficult to have a traction induced spin.

Sport/bumpy roads most of the time as our roads in Michigan are, politely said, bad (they are the major subject of our elections this year). On the rare occasion I see a smooth road, or in any tunnel, race.

There are only 2 modes as far as I am concerned. CT and ESC off. The rest is literally dumb.

On the more sporting Ferraris that have the Wet, Sport, Race, CT off, ESC off modes, I tend to look at Sport as comfort mode and I often use it to warm up the car and go through my neighborhood. Once warmed up, I do like most of you, and go to Race mode, which I think is really a kind of super awesome sport mode. It will let you slide the car a bit, but not too much and it will help you, which is very good for the street. And yes, I often go for bumpy road mode. CT off is for the 1-2 track days I find myself at. I wouldn't call it "oh !!!!" mode, but rather I would call it Track mode. ESC off is definitely MS mode and I never use except maybe when in my driveway to check it out. However, when I've been caught in a rain storm, I do use Wet mode.

I have used “ESC OFF” on a wet skid pad recently but we were trying to induce the drift in a controlled and safe environment.

CT Off, always. Mainly use the car for track days. Coming from a background of racing karts, even CT Off is rather invasive, it's a strange feeling when the electronics take over, when the car senses slip. Need to explore ESC Off....however, not sure I want to take that risk.

Don't you guys find that the exhaust drones a little too much in race mode?

Sudden hard acceleration is never good in wet or cold environment... Glad no car from the back hit on.
