back to 12th April 1953 the Coupes de Vitesse at Montlhéry: I have no informations or proof (by pics) that S/N 0244M was present at this event. Marcel wrote: For example, Boncompagni's 0236 MM is often listed as 340 MM (that would be a 4.1 liter) when in fact it was born and has always been a 250 MM (3 liter), just look at the build sheets. @marcel and others: Very interesting; the car is descriped in the entry list in some of the 1953 french race programs as "Ferrari 4.1 Liter"... best wishes, BjörnS

Sorry but lack of time to cover every race ! Thanks for your additional infos ! Regarding Torino Show, there were no Ferrari sport cars as far I remember. For street cars, there is the « Ferrari at Motor Shows » thread (one of my favourite thread ! )

yes, I know... but if you entered a car for a race you must give informations about the engine capacity, 2 liter, 3 liter or more which sorted your car in a special class... and the engine capacity of Pagnibon's car is mentioned with 4.100 in some of the french race programs.. I will scan an example. best wishes, BjörnS
On 28-29th april 1953, Robert Braunschweig and Rudy Mailander were at the factory for the Swiss magazine "Automobil Revue". Fortunately for us, they took plenty of pictures ! FYI Robert Braunschweig was founder and owner of "Automobil Revue" (Swiss German edition) and "Revue Automobile" (for the French speaking part of Switzerland) which is not a magazine but actually a weekly newspaper (large format). This newspaper still exists today and comes every Thursday since almost 100 years now. I have been a subscriber since March 1970 until today. Braunschweig was good friend with Enzo Ferrari and visited the Commendatore regularly. Marcel Massini
Sorry, Marcel, Robert Braunschweig was neither founder nor owner of "Automobil Revue"/"Revue Automobile". Robert Braunschweig was born in August 1914, the first issue of "Automobil Revue" was published in January 1906, founder was the publisher Otto Richard Wagner. In 1912 the Wagner'sche Verlagsanstalt acquired the Haller'sche Buchdruckerei and the merged company was called Hallwag. Robert Braunschweig became technical editor of the "Automobil Revue" in 1943 and was editor (Chefredaktor) from 1952 to 1980.

I have a note that Lamberti and Macchieraldo (Ferrari 2560cc in the program) elected not to take the start at the last minute because of the bad weather.
