There’s a Motor1.com article on the FerrariChat news page, although no link to the video. I located the YouTube video below. “Ferrari Testarossa vs snow.. we even spun out in front of a sheriff at the roundabout while filming and he didn't do anything..”
Looks like fun but then I always wanted to be a Sprint car driver. Eww I hate driving in bare feet. I have 4E feet and manipulating Italian pedals is an acquired skill but many Lotus's are out of the question. Several years ago a news copter in the northern Midwest, mid winter caught a guy on the roof of a large empty parking lot doing that undisturbed for about 1/2 hour. A tape of him made the rounds on national news.
I was just watching that video does look like fun at least there wasn't salt all over the road. Guy in the town next to me had a TR just like the one in the video and I remember one February he had it out and I was behind him watching all the road salt getting kicked up into the engine, cradle subframe area.
I've driven mine over snow and ice. It was 60 degrees out and the main roads were dry, but the shady parts of my street still had packed snow and ice. I had the BFG tires on the car and they had NO traction, the car just slid out of control. I was not prepared and it was not fun. I would really like to try this on purpose. I love doing donuts in the snow in my BMW.
If there’s no road salt, a great way to wash the underside for sure! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
much better way would be driving on a street what is about 1-5 cm flooded. much better result than snow. but not as soon as the street is flooded, wait min. 20 minutes until all the dirt and debris is away
I debated taking mine out (in North Idaho) but seeing I live on a steep hill, I don’t think the girl could make it up the hill. Inspirational video though.
