If so, you must be the only one. And even so, I'd venture more than a few posts in this thread are your own. This thread is past 320 posts, and shows no signs of slowing down... Say what you will about Allan and his opinions, (I wasn't a member of Fchat back in his glory years here...but I've never heard so many people talk about a formerly ex-member...) but I admire the way he takes on all comers. This place needs some excitement and some contrary opinions, and this thread has made me laugh more then a few times... Personally, I don't agree with most of his L vs F opinions (especially regarding styling issues), but he's certainly entitled to them, and he at least tends to back them up with real world, personal experience. Why can't alot of you fellows just accept that he prefers Lambo in most things, much as you prefer F-cars...is such a thing not possible? He at least gives Ferrari credit in some places, can you concede no kudos to Lambo-cars? I feel confident in predicting this post might exceed 1000 posts, and you still won't get him to back down, even at 100 against 1. Good luck to you all, but my moneys on Allan Lambo
I like 'em all. Saw the G Spyder (not the person, the car) today: looked fabulous in pearl white, which few cars do. I don't get all squirrely about the Lambo v. Ferrari debate: i drive what I want. Currently, that happens to be a 6.0 Diablo, simply because the production Ferraris leave me somewhat uninspired. (Enzo is not in that category, but frankly, for that kind of money, I'd be hunting for a 250 SWB). The 12 cyl. Ferraris also keep getting bigger, fatter and more lux; yes, I know that they will have the horsepower and torque numbers to correspond, but so does a CL 65, and that car is hardly a sportscar. If Ferrari would put together a decontented 12 (sorry for the many times some of you have heard me say this)~ like the big dog 12 cyl. challenge stradale equivalent ~ I would get very interested. Among current 'supercars,' I actually find the Porsche CGT the most interesting.
At least this clown is entertaining with all the nonsense he's spitting out. Why would he drive a 360 if he hates them so much??
That's the only reason I responded. Anyone is certainly entitled to their opinions on car preference, I was simply pointing out that the 430 was hardly rushed to market in response to the Gallardo. This is one area that can be objectively measured, and with the length of the 360 model run, it's game over. Gary
Priceless.......where did I leave that mosquito repellant anyway!! Whart, I am with you on your call to Ferrari. A big dog 12 that does not weigh two tons would be awesome and draw huge interest. It is a shame that the cars just continue to get heavier and heavier. Whoever comes to grips with a lightweight 12, be in Ferrari of Lambo, would get my business.
Ferrari only responds to market demands, customers who spend $$$ on their products, demand more creature comforts, lawmakers demand more safety features etc. These cars are becoming more expensive and paying consumers expect some things automatically.
I dont understand. What does ""smoking istanbully turkey hash"" mean? sorry for my english but i dont understand it By the way if you compare 360 spider to a Gallardo, Gallardo can be much attractive than a 360. But not too much. I dont know about Miami people attraction but in Istanbul trust me Ferrari takes much attention than a Lambo. I never say people look only at Ferrari and ignore Lambo. I say F takes much attention then Lambo here. BTW i cant believe you are saying that Ferrari produced F430 because Lambo made the G. Thats unbelievable :-( 360 was 4 year old ar and it was time to change at that year. Then why Gallardo make the improvement after 2 years ?
Take 1 x 360 Modena and put it in a sandwich press = a Gallardo Then put a 5 litre V 10 in it to compete with a 3.6 litre V 8. Now go pat yourself on the back.Well done Audi. I love the Gallardo and would definitely have it in any sports car collection but those who say some of us wear Rosso Fiorano sunglasses, clearly wear Bull middend glasses themselves because lets face it,Lambo sold there soul to the Germans. The 430 and Gallardo are both 10/10 cars, different strokes for different folks, thats all. In Italy Ferrari is a religion,Lambo will never be...
The problem is why can't he just accept the fact that he likes Lambos more than Ferraris and others don't. He's not the only Lambo owner who prefers Lambos to Ferraris, Porsches, Astons etc, but he seems to be the only one obsessed with telling Ferrari owners why this or that Lambo is so much better than this or that Ferrari. He doesn't take on any comers. He just fights over opinions and shouts loudly. It's so childish. Maybe he didn't get enough attention as a child or in school or something. It's actually comical that an adult male needs to thump his chest so badly and so often about something so irrelevant. Generally, these people are diagnosed with ego-deficiency syndrome. LOL Forza, Cavallini
Horacio Pagani's next car should fill that request and be US legal. He's the only one, other than Ferrari's next hypercar, who can do it. Although, it depends on what you mean when you say lightweight. The 599 weighs 150lbs less than the SLR but 300 more than the Enzo and CGT. It will be interesting to see how Audi handles the Murci successor. Surely they'll use all aluminum but AWD is heavy. Forza, Cavallini
I dont know but he makes this place exciting and i feel myself very excited while discussing these subjects loudly. I dont know if anyone from Italy, or know Inter and Milan challenge. For example he is like a Inter fan and, his style is like cheering up loudly with Inter shirts at the Milan supporters area!! But i like Allan
Gian Marco: to quote Luca..."it is important for Ferrari to accomodate two golf bags"... Who sold their soul..?
I notice you didn't mention performance. Why is that? Perhaps because every Lambo would be spanked in every way by the CGT? Or is it that you simply prefer the look and feel of Lamborghinis more than a Ferrari or a CGT, whether it's faster or not? Forza, Cavallini
Ignore performance Carrera GT is very beatiful and pretty car and even much much much attractive than every lambo in the Galaxy
Bravo to your and your modifier but if I have 40 more HP and 150 more TQ than you, and only outweigh you by 100 lbs or so, you better win every acceleration test there is, I don't care what badge is on the car. And if I've spent whatever amount of time and money you've spent on modifying said car, I better win every stoplight race against everything except cars like an Enzo or Zonda F. The poor old CGT would certainly be left in the dust because it's truly a street-legal racecar, i.e. RWD with total driver control. Whatever super Vette they're about to produce will probably eat Gs and 430s for breakfast from a stoplight, and maybe even on a track. If that's what you want, enjoy. You're comical, truly, a comedian. LOL. Forza, Cavallini
It is gorgeous, isn't it? Very simple, very pure clean lines. Pictures do it no justice. But the Gallardo has a line and presence I find very appealing. Forza, Cavallini
Sold their soul? LOL. If Lambo had developed the sense to adapt to new demands from customers they wouldn't be owned by Audi today. Ferrari was almost in that same boat. Furthermore, what's wrong or bad about being able to drive your $200K sports car anywhere you want, and take it to the track? Dude, what are you smoking? Forza, Cavallini
Sold their soul to the Germans? The reality is that no exoticar maker is independent these days, save Zonda. Thank god Audi stepped in or this debate would not have stretched to a zillion posts. Come to think of it, had Fiat not stepped in many years ago... Jimmy
