Yes more than the 318k, when asked about spending so much his reply was "you never loose any money on plates"

As Marks already said Property, from all accounts a very very shrewed developer, until recently Liverpool's city centre was a complete mess, this chap was one of the first to develope decent inner city housing complex's in the city.........just shows big gambles sometimes do pay off

I love a good number plate more than the average man, but that is crazy! Forgive my ignorance, but is B1 the model type or something? I can understand the guy paying to get EN20 or MY F40 or something, but a random 1 and a 1 could surely have been bought for less than £300k+?

    However, it does look SUPERB!

    Jamie.
Think of it as a priceless antique.
It was issued originally in 1903, and is extremely sought after. Two letter and three letter number ones can command up to £250k. A single letter with a 1 is regarded as the ultimate.
A shrewd investor. That will be worth £1 million in a few years time.

Unless the government continue with their plans for RFID chips or transponders in cars.....which would of course render all number plates obsolete

had a D at the begining of the plate, guessing it was Denmark?

sound was just amazing, traffic was at a standstill, and i was right behind it,if the owner reads this,i was in the grey R33 Skyline

:) bit of an office in joke - one of the office juniors (an "un-natrual" blond) was adamant on the point.

"Why would they call it Dutch-land" if germans live there? "

    makes you wonder about s****hortpe....

    :)

Oh, the post has been cencored.... now thats interesting, what if you live in s c u n t h o r p e?, people would never know

A diplomatic plate has "D" in the middle an example of this would be 123 D 456
there would be no Country identifying mark on the car.
    hope this helps.
