Why not start a new thread with pictures of Ferruccio in many occasions ! Few of us may have met him or have just collected pictures of him... Today is the 22th anniversary of the death of Ferruccio Lamborghini, a genius and a generous man who had inspired so many people and for who we all have a deep respect, R.I.P... Here are a few pics that date back to 1988 - a very cordial and down to earth person - he was more than glad to sign my car than started signing books on my roof for about 20 minutes. A much younger me with a crooked bowtie! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't have anything to offer I'm afraid but I will say that the portrait posted above is one of the best I've seen of Ferruccio. There is a warmth to that photo that shines through which says to me that while he's no longer with us in person, in spirit he still looms large among us.
I acutally sold it about 10 years ago to a freind and mechanic which worked at the factory in the R&D department - he was part of the team of the Urraco and LP400. It now resides a half hour away and i see it often. Not a fast car but it handled very well.
Kind of like my Dino 308gt4...I love this car...awesome sensory experiences....Love my lambo...a true "event" car...stuart
No. There is a story about a famous client arriving at Sant Agata to collect his new Countach LP400. He arrived only to find the Commendatore polishing his car!

Why not also include some videos? A great period video with a Miura, an Islero and a 350/400gt. There is a very nice interview of Ferruccio in which he states that the Miura will remain in the story of automobile... Plus also a very nice explanation of what could be customer service in the period. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7euJVBOtuqY The great man telling the legend! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SmUFKgjB6KQ Some old videos, unfortunately, without his master's voice... By the way for jlonmark, there is a small footage with a tractor! Ferruccio Lamborghini, dai trattori alle auto sportive - Rai Storia
Of all the pictures I have taken of Mr. Lamborghini this is my favorite - him signing on his Miura - sorry for the poor quality, I just took a phone picture - did not want to remove from the album to scan. Image Unavailable, Please Login
