F1 engineers will make this work. Not sure what the overall issue is lol. Teams will adapt and Max is going to do well. Most probably have solution prepared.

The political power Mercedes has is just unmatchable.
I fear next year will be a 2021 season lookalike..

It's another storm in a teacup, and these become recurrent in F1.

    We will see..
If in spa Mercedes is able to fight against Red Bull and Ferrari on pure pace then we will have an answer for your beloved storm in a teacup comparison..

As long as the rules apply to everyone, I don't see the problem.

You don't see the problem with changing the rules mid-season to address the engineering shortcomings of one particular team, especially in an environment that limits testing, development, and budget? I bet you just love pro wrestling.

to clarify this latest ruling (15mm floor raise) is for 2023, which still sucks as the deadline for 23 passed already like 2 months ago so teams have invested money pointlessly now, to appease a team that couldn't get it together.

However, there still is the new rules for the Belgian GP that helps Mercedes, who now have a front running car.

    THAT is even more wrong.

As William posted this is really nothing major. When the lights go out at Spa the same 2 teams will be fighting for the win. I’m far more interested in Spa remaining on calendar.

I only hope the weather will be clement at Spa this year, and allow good racing.

I am more interested in that than by any increase of ride height !

Last year, the Masi-orchestrated "dog-and-pony" show really spoiled my enjoyment.

Is the change not to stop teams with floors that vanish up into the car? eg cheating? personally dont see any thing wrong with the rule being clarified, if teams were exploting this, then tough imho.

would have riots if it was Merc, People still acuse Merc of cheating with DAS even though it was pre approved befor the season ;)...

I’m sure they would think it’s a problem if it benefitted Red Bull or Ferrari!

If they were cheating why didn’t MB just protest? FIA told MB how to make DAS legal..are they consultants for MB too?

could you imagine if that happened? Toto and the Brit press would be even further out of control. The newly elected FIA prez should clean house on the tech side. Masi had to go, so should Tombazis.

I think they still may. If it is safety related no veto power but if I’m Ferrari I fight it. Who knows what will come out.

Because the FIA found it and had already planned changes for it?......... ( That was what the FIA said to Alpine when they DID complain about it.. )
Merc didnt design DAS with the FIa, they confirmed it WASNT against the rules with the FIA befor even using it, surely you would do things like that with the RULING body of the sport? No? You are aware the FIA work with all teams to make sure the cars are with in the regulations?

+1 and the mid season rule change also addresses teams with Flexi floors as well. A new TEST. If that hurts teams then whats the problem. The floors must be within specification. I dont care if that hurts anyone lol. If its outside of the rules then fix it and it appears they are.
