File recovery on corrupt USB pen drive?

    I have a usb pen drive that does not work anymore. When I put it in the usb port, it tells me that there are no readable files on the drive and asks if I want to initialize it. Eventually I will initialize it, but first I want to get my files off of it. Any tricks out there that people know of? I know I can send it to a company that specializes in that, but I would rather do it myself.

    I used a program called Badcopy Pro. It worked great. I tried a few different programs, but they all gave me errors.
