maybe..... http://www.dpccars.com/car-movies/05-30-06pageRedlinetheMovie.htm sweet cars, hot chicks, if the plot is somewhat decent it might just be a good movie to catch
When's this out? Parts of that preview scare me though - looks like too much CG... I hate movies where actions that should look realistic - especially if they were using real cars - look too CG-like...
I'm feelin you on the eccessive use of CG (Think Sly Stalone's "Driven"). I just hope the folley artists don't mix up exhaust notes and put CGT sounds over an Enzo.
THAT'S IT!! I was trying to thinking of the movie that annoyed the hell out of me because of CG - Driven! Not that it had potential as a good movie from the start - but still - it could have been better!
The Ferrari dealership at the Wynn ... I wonder if that is what they were setting up for when we visited during the Pauper's Run. They had the floor downstairs super polished and got pissed when we walked across it. The movie looks cool enough ... I'll check it out. G
I could be wrong, but I believe they used real cars - at least for some of them. I read in a local paper that they actually destroyed a real Carrera GT. A columnist went to the shoot and watched them do it (F. Mickadeit). They did, however, remove the engine so it could be used as a replacement.
From www.imdb.com : "Redline" is an auto/action thriller that features the personal exotic car collection of the producer, real estate investor Daniel Sadek. Sadek who is financing the $26 million movie used his own cars including a Phantom Rolls Royce, Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti and two Mercedes SLR McLarens. Sadek's $200,000 Porsche Carrera GT is actually crashed during one sequence. It seems to me that somebody wanted to show up his cars.
Hmm, those Redrock canyon roads look familiar! This flick might actually be worth watching, but i wonder how bad the actors are.
Well, Eddie Griffin is a funny comedian. That being said, in this type of movie he might get annoying really quick. That's when you start looking for the hot chicks to distract you until the cars start flying.
omg, thats friken sweet, i was watching them film the scene with the poker table, and i thought the movie was gunna be really low budget and lame, this looks really good. Props to Daniel.
I'll just say it before Tabasco rants and rants. The producer of the movie Daniel Sadek's. If you read all the press reviews they make a huge deal of this. Well it is a big deal.
Looks terrible other than cool cars and good looking women. Everything else will be Fast & Furious over again with arrogant rich folk.
Is that the guy that lives in OC and brings his Enzo to CC sometimes? Someone mentioned a while back he's got a SLR and CGT as well.
