Count me in.....
For participants it starts at 9am (for spectators 11am), but you can arrive later. I'll be there early and will defend the spots next to me for all the Ferraris. No guarantees though. Count of cars: Carla 355 Vince 355 Richard 348C Dave 308 Twins 308 Andreas V8
Hello guys... I actually have this weekend off...yipee!!! Andreas, I would love to come (weather permitting)...save me a spot . Does this mean I have to wash my car ? What is the exact address, and easiest way to get there?
Here's the address. Any internet mapping service should get you there. See you Sunday! 1705 E Golf Rd Schaumburg, IL 60173 (847) 619-4668
Will do. Looking forward to see that beauty in white again. You might have to wash it AFTER the show. Think Schaumburg, Woodfield Mall, a few blocks north of there. Count of cars: Bo TR Carla 355 Vince 355 Richard 348C Dave 308 Twins 308 Andreas V8
It runs till about 4pm, maybe less. You can certainly come as late as 11am, you're just risking not getting a parking space next to us. I'll do my best to reserve you one, but no guarantees. Count of cars: Sean TR Bo TR Carla 355 Vince 355 Richard 348C Dave 308 Twins 308 Rick Daytona-R Andreas Daytona-R What's wrong with this picture? Ah yes, we're missing a 2nd 348C.
Wish I could go to this one. I REALLY do...... I will be on a rotten plane tomorrow morning heading to California for the week. Take lots of pics!!! ;-) And a few pics of the cars while you're at it......
Yea but if you play your cards right you will see more Ferraris and other exotics than you ever saw in your life next weekend. Hope to meet you out there. I'm flying out Wed early. Plans have changed for me so I plan to be at Hooters for the event. See everyone tomorrow.
Sorry Vince and Richard, that you couldn't make it, but luckily we got a couple of surprise visitors with their Ferraris, so the count basically remained the same. It was great seeing everybody again and we got lucky with the weather. I'll post pics later once I get a chance to download them.
please do. i left rockford @2:00pm and literally spent an hour @ the elgin toll plaza. traffic was a nightmare... two hours to get from rockford to shamburg? by the time we arived, i said the hell with it and went to shaws for beers & crabcakes. saw a nice new aston-martin v8 volante parked out front. cheers, joe
The heck with the car pictures, lets jump right to the Hooters girls. They are very photogenic don't you think? Congrats to the winners. Great day, food, and a great turnout of Ferraris. Enjoy viewing the pics as much as I did taking them! Nice pics! It was a nice small show. I came later on around 2, so I didn't get to see the white Testarossa or the red 355.
Technically, not true, previous V8 Vantage Volante's were produced. For the current model however, those aren't coming around until next year. BTW, how's the F430?
That was all of the numbnuts' from Illinois coming back from a weekend in my state. I have to say, I am growing a tad tired of traffic EVERY Sunday heading south on 90 because of the sheer mass of Illinois drivers on our roads. I swear to you, 80% of every car on the road at that time has Illinois plates. Can someone tell me why we don't have TOLLS up at our border near Beloit??? A $1 toll would probably knock $50 off my property taxes. Seriously. It is getting old.
With that being said..... I want to know why I am sitting here in a hotel room in California when I SHOULD have been in Shaumberg....... Crud.....
And you think traffic is bad at the border or where you live now. LOL Wait till you have fun in the Bay area. Head out of town on a Friday night or return into the bay on Sunday nights. You're going to love the traffic, ie just like Chicago but worse at times. However, Bill there is a bright side, once you get away from the city there are great roads to take up and down the coast and around Tahoe that you really will enjoy. But wait isn't that a family from Illinois driving and gawking down HW 1 as you try to get around them? See you out there.
You are, of course, right. I'm a dumbass. I was actually thinking about that on the drive into work today and planned to post my retraction
Great pictures Dave! Enjoyed seeing everyone again. I'm still thinking about the missed photo opportunity at the table
