Pretty evenly matched at the front.Warm temps favour Ferrari, looking at the F2 race tyres will be taking a beating. So all down to tyre management ,strategy calls etc. Lewis should win it , but not a walk in the park at all. Kimi needs a win
It's coming home it's coming F1's coming home .. Will the boys in red spoil Lewis's most successful Brit driver party tonight.... for sure it's going to be exciting to watch.
Afternoon D, unfortunately I'am nursing a slight hangover ...a self inflicted over indulgence of the black stuff last night...
This should be a good one. Obviously hoping for a Ferrari win but it won't be easy. Hopefully there is another Alonso/Leclerc battle... Its been fascinating to watch with the young man proving he is no pushover.
Slightly off-topic but since you mentioned Ricci, these two stories don't add up to very optimistic prospects for a Ricci fan (in a RBR/Honda) for next year: Ricciardo: Main Red Bull alternatives for 2019 F1 season now gone http://classic.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/137281 Gasly: Toro Rosso's time loss on straights at Silverstone 'crazy' http://classic.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/137285
Would be very happy to see a Kimi win (with his driving of late he deserves it and a long time coming) as long a Vettel finishes ahead of HAM.
Merc to split their strategies (I.e. sacrifice BOT) or just bluffing? http://www.skysports.com/amp/f1/news/12433/11429546/british-gp-mercedes-vow-to-be-aggressive-in-ferrari-fight Remember that ever since that one race (Bahrain ?) where they waited for Ferrari to show their hand at their stop and Merc put Bottas on the harder tire to go to the end of the race, I think they are obsessed with having Ferrari do this to them. In fact, this was the reason they gave last week for not pitting HAM under the VSC. Hope they continue to out-think themselves ;-)
