I can understand Ferrari not wanting to swap, hell with their record of "strategy" moves Alonso would probably have passed both and finished on the podium... but what's Max's big problem finishing 7th instead of 6th, helping Perez a bit in his fight for 2nd in driver's championship?

BTW those of you in the USA consider yourself lucky. I watched race from a German hotel room, and RTL's commercials are ridiculously long :/

Funny to read the mood swings here about George. For a while there he was a disaster and not fit for F1, now he's Merc's undisputed #1 driver

I'm already looking forward to 2023 - could be epic if RB, Ferrari AND Merc are on similar pace.
Assuming Ferrari gets their **** at least somewhat together of course.

Yikes. I was of the understanding that RB had a pretty decent driver's dynamic with the 2 drivers. Seems like Helmut Marko and company will have to have a coffee meeting or two with them to set things straight

It would have been easier if Charles had managed to get close to Carlos - then it would have made sense, but actually Charles was nowhere close so asking for Carlos to stop on the roadside to let him pass was not very sensible. Specially because cars in front of Carlos, and cars behind Charles, were not far away - so that slowing Carlos was not the less risky thing to do.

Yes. If Charles had got up within DRS range, then that would've been convincing. As it stands, he was just begging for a handout of a podium place! To me the podium here (at Interlagos!) matters more than a 2nd place in the WDC.

Indeed. Didn't he get told over the radio that he would overtake Checo, in order to take som points from Charles as well? I suppose since that mission didn't happen, the implicit Plan B was to hand the position back to Checo. Would've liked to see them fight if only Checo had known that Max would backstab him like this

Max better check himself. He really showed his immaturity again. Reminding me of Ham in how the strength of his car is going to his head and spoiling him, and he's thinking that HE is the team.

Dominant cars aren't forever, and Perez will remember today.
