With Formula 1 season upon us, we need to find a place to watch. I know SpeedZone kart racing's owners (Shaina in particular) are big F1 freaks and plan on having live events / watching parties. Perhaps we could convene there? Speedzone is in Burlingame off of 101 near SFO.

Who's in? I should've made mention of this last week. F1 rushed up on me...quick!

In order to watch it live, one has to get up at 4.30 am PST, or do an early lunch on a weekend (10.30 am). Canada and Brazil are a couple of exceptions.

This has been posted in other threads, but here is the schedule (in EST).
SpeedTV does do the reboroadcast at mdnight on Sunday. If the bar is open, I am up for a get together. The kids are asleep so the cat can play. Another option is a weekday lunch where someone has got the thing on Tivo, or the now old-fashioned VCR (my house).

Bahrain would be a good one to watch there. It is at a reasonable time, 10am PST on Sunday, April 4. Bahrain is a relatively new venue, and sand might not be as interesting as the San Marino scenery, but this could make for a nice brunch. The place seems to be kid friendly, so if you are stuck with weekend dury (Noel !), just bring them along. I have trained my 3 year old to follow the race....

Looks like they open at Noon. Perhaps Dan talked to them and they will open early on GP days.
    Here is the track info
    http://www.gokartracer.com/
When I went it was full of hoodlims (sp?) with baggy pants and grunge hats, but a gokart track is a gokart track. Cheap fun.
