Can anyone tell me what is the best product or method to repaint the front bumper? Is it just a simple black paint or is it a special type? Mine is all cracked and chipping in areas.

They were unpainted originally, and you just treated then with ArmorAll to look nice. Wonder if someone can remove what's on there without damaging the surface of the rubber, then you can decide to keep as-is or paint again.

Yes, bumper is a big block of rubber. That looks like finish cracking, kinda like a clear coat. Not much you can do, just try and keep it clean.

Might look worse if stripped and not finished properly. Check other threads around FChat. I cant even guess how to strip and refinish. For me personally, i would leave or replace the bumper with a better condition US spec bumper.

The bumper is easy - two bolts, ease it out a bit to get behind and unplug the lights, pull out. The splitter... not so easy, but straight forward

I'm guessing the US bumpers are different to the Euro bumpers.
I repainted mine a few years ago, they are simply fibreglass. I filled any chips, flatted them back, a couple of coats of primer followed by a few coats of Satin Black. Job done!

Just look up under there and you will see them.

Taking it off is Kindergarten level easy.

Usually just sanding did the job. Applied product and sanded again then repeat until satisfactory. Last step was taping off the area and painting. Several light coatings so no runs.
