The front struts on my F430 work OK, but you can tell they're getting a little weak. I was going to replace them, but can't find the OEM part# for my car, Stabilus 67508100. The replacement is 80136300, but Ricambi only has one.

    Anyone found a suitable alternative?

Front Struts...Plural? I’ve only got one on my 08. Interesting.

My 08 also has only one strut. By coincidence, I just got 80136300 from Ricambi a few days ago. Maybe the early 430 had two struts?

Just ordered 2x 6300's from eurospares. Yes, my 06 has two of the previous version. Curious if using 2 of the new version (maybe designed for 1) will be alot more force.

I have a new one and there is a lot more upward force. Two would be overkill.

But aren’t there two hinges and mountings for two struts? I don’t think I’d want it to be supported unevenly.

I understand your point, but there is only one on the passenger side.

What Katman said. Only 1 mounting point, passenger side.

My 06 has 2 struts, but the older part number. Ordered 2x of the new (more powerful) part numbers from eurospares for $14 a piece.

Unless it has so much force the hood smacks me in the face everytime I'll keep both attached for balance.

I'll advise when they come in and get them installed.

Let us know, would ya. I’ve got a replacement but not sure how much pressure I use to remove the socket from the ball. First effort didn’t see it budge.

I pried the retaining clip with a small screwdriver and it popped off easily. Install the new one by snapping the socket over the ball. The hard part was keeping the hood from falling on me once held up by just one tired strut. Best is to get a buddy to hold it for you.

As for two struts, I meant one one each side, not two on the passenger side.

I'll post a synopsis once they come in and I have them installed.

That would be great. The clips came off easy enough but couldn’t budge the ball out of the socket, both. Guess I’m not pulling hard enough((?)
