Can anyone tell me how to test the fuel door switch? Trying to diagnose. Fuse and relay are good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
what's it doing wrong? In my 348, the ignition switch has to be on. (or something is terribly wrong with mine) sjd
My Fuel door solenoid got crudded up over the decades. A quick shot of WD-40 and some forced actuations cleaned out the junk and it now works fine again.
Check the wiring plug at the rear of the solenoid too. Mine was intermittent and I found the connector to be corroded. I changed it for a better type and its been perfect since. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's also a momentary switch so you could pull off switch and jump across the connector wires and see if you here the solenoid click (or door open)
That’s what I’m wanting to do but there are like 4 wires going to the switch. If I knew exactly which wires to jump that would be ideal. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
2 wires are for the illumination. Disconnect the switch, use an Ohm meter on the switch (will need a helper), probe the switch contacts while helper actuates switch. You will go from open to closed once you find the contacts. Then you can transfer that to the connector side.
