Hello, do you have to bleed the fuel system if you change the fuel filter? Or can I start the engine and it will be ok? If you have to bleed, how I do that?

Just unplug the safety switch and turn the key "on" -- this will run the fuel pump and give you a chance to check for leaks (without the engine running). Fuel (and any air, if present) is continuously recirculated back to the tank from the pressure regulator section of the K-Jet fuel distributor.

That said, it's probably not uber-critical either way.

No need to bleed like a hydraulic system. I would be carefull not to run the pump too long without the engine running, or you might be filling up the cylinders with fuel.

There is no fuel flow thru the injectors when air is not being drawn into the engine (i.e., with the airflow metering plate not deflected, the slits inside the fuel distributor are completely closed).

That may be true in theory, but I've had it happen.
