I'm with you TheMayor, a little pointed formulated but basically absolutely correct. I admire Lamborghini, I really like this brand. But I expect just more innovation in design from such a strong brand! Now I see this stupid "Walter de'Silva Volkswagen design philosophy and development" (one design language per brand adapted to the group, based on technical and horizontal lines and elements, more or less the same charisma over generations) - how boring!! I want to see a NEW Lamborghini (...because this car on the pictures is already existing - called Gallardo), I want to see a NEW statement, I want to see DIFFERENCES like between the Miura and the Countach (..the Espada and Urraco), I want to be SURPRISED!! Now I see an adjustment to the VAG-Group based on a simple design language called "Kinetic design by Ford". Yes, I'm disappointed!!
Praise be to the lord! Got really tired of those special editions... I agree with the Mayor, Murcielago suddenly became more attractive, LP670-4 SV will go down as a classic! Last of the raging bulls...
maybe you want change but Lamborghini don't need to change anything, Aventador sold two times faster than Murcielago, exactly the same thing with Ferrari, many people criticizes design but they can't argue with fact that no-matter how Ferrari looks like they can always sale more car than they produce
The purpose they serve is to let the windows open. Without them the windows could only partially open as they'd be too wide to fit into the doors or require a hugely complex window-opening motion.
Just went in and had a chat with the sale manager. 20th December is definate with specs and full details published. Private preview party in january and offical launch to public in geneva. They still not sure about the gearbox whether it will be a twin clutch or single.
Everybody needs change. That includes Ferrari. The question is what change. Lambo's have been copying the Countach since the Countach. It's time for some new blood to cook for a while. They have it in them. They are just too German to understand anything but pure logical thought. If Mr. Spock were in charge of Audi instead of who they have, you wouldn't know the difference.
I think the power couldn't handle it. Or maybe it was cost or packaging. Whatever it was, it was a mistake. Very few praise the A's snap your head clean off gearbox.
Defo need a twin clutch this time. If its got same transmission as the old gallardo or ISF gearbox it won't really be an everyday car like 458 and won't appeal to me tbh
If the new G does not have a carbon tub like the A, a lot of people will be upset. Even the Alfa 4c has a CF tub now. The real question will be is it faster than the Mac 12. I doubt it.
I think the 458 is both externally and internally superior. Lambo is a 10 year old design but still turns heads
"I think the 458 is both externally and internally superior." Interesting. I drove, 430 Scud, 458, and decided on the LP 550-2. I only wished I had money for all 3 and an Aventador, an F12, and a MP4-12C, and…
I owned both a 2010 Gallardo and a 2010 458. I owned both at the same time. The Sporty Lambo was not as rewarding to drive as the ferrari. In 2010 these cars were very close as dirivers cars. The 458 was only slightly better in my view. That may not be fair because the Lambo was a high optioned convertible and my 458 a base coupe. I still have the 458 but I also just bought a 2013 Aventador. I love the car while I am still getting used to the transmission. The head and neck brace hopefully will come off soon then I can enjoy re-injurying them again . I was told the new Galardo will look like the Aventador in some fashion. That may be a good thing We will see Best Lee
