Post opinions if you care to, I'm an AC player.

Revelations looks to have an interesting time and place setting, though the Templars were long gone by then.

I like the game but it's not as good as Ezio in Italy. You start the game with most of your skills unlocked so it's more about mastering the new tools like the ziplines/bomb making and double jumps.

They added this new mini tower defence game which is horrible to play. Luckily you can avoid it during most of the game.

They got rid of those strange puzzle sequences but have brought back Altaïr storyline, I'm guessing by how quick they are churning these games out they cut some development time by bringing back old locations. Which might also explain why up to now there has been no sequences with Desmond.

The core gameplay mechanics are still there but Constantinople doesn't have the uniqueness that Rome and the cities of Italy did. It just feels like a sea of brown or something we have all seen before, of course this game is part of the Ezio trilogy so you have to play the other 2 to understand what's going on, but I don't think it's as good as the other 2 games but better than the 1st game

Saying all that I am addicted to just running around unlocking everything before moving the story along

I still like the original AC best. The medieval/crusades era is a strong interest of mine and it was colorfully depicted there, even if liberties were taken with history.

Revelations gets my attention for the same reasons. The Knights Templar are back, though in reality they were long gone as a powerful entity by the time setting of Revelations.

Same goes for Constantinople as a place setting. It was a critical strategic location throughout the Crusades period and I'm eager to cyber-explore it, even if it's not up to the standards of cities in the other games.

Altair back as a playable character...awesome!

I too tend to unlock everything, then get on with the story.

Up until a month ago, I was playing The Witcher 2, a great game marred by a horrible intallation process. When the Enhanced Edition patch became available as an addon/enhancement, I downloaded and installed it, and everything went haywire. So, it's on the shelf until a comprehensive fix is released.

I appreciate your comments. AC Revelations should fill my current gaming void well.

Off to Amazon to order mine.

Two days ago I decided to play MW3 with the specialist support and to my surprise at a kill streak of 24 on Hardcore Free for All I got a nuke bomb. It was cool killing the whole game and getting the Flawless achievement. I had finished flawless games in all the Call of Duty games, but this one got me by surprise. :)

I've done little beyond the intro in Revelations...kind of in a gaming lull. Nice looking game though, and newest-edition nvidia drivers for the graphics card should speed things up.

I'm playing GTA4 - no matter how hard I try, I can't beat the last level, any advice? :)

The last thing I want is for this to turn into another Goldeneye for N64 - I still haven't beaten the last 2 levels on that game over the past 10+ years, :)

I recently bought ARMA2 Combined Operations just so I can play the free survival zombie mod Dayz!!!

I'm hooked!!! :D It's an alpha mod so there are heaps of bugs/exploits but the game mechanics of surviving off the land while battling other players/zombies is awesome, intense fun.

Ohh the kicker is that it's perma-death so once you die you start all over again(no gun/food/water) from scratch.

Why can't you build it yourself? It's really not that hard more time consuming. Look on utube for tutorials.

FOr a budget gaming rig Get a Corei5-3570K. 8GB RAM is more than enough and a GTX670OC. I'm specing one up for a friend, I can't give you prices for reference because hardware costs much less in the states but it's close to the $1k mark.

Make sure you get a board that's good at O/C'ing(like ASUS) guys are getting a nice 1ghz free speed increase with noctua nhd14 or Corsair H60's.

My 1st gen corei5 from 2010 runs ARMA2 at max settings without issue @1920x1200.

Well its an alpha mod so bugs will be common but the dude making the mod works for the developer of ARMA series so it will become very polished when it finally hits retail but that's a long way away. Probably not till ARMA3 comes out.

I've been banging away at Assassins Creed Revelations for a month or so now.

Runs great at upper-mid settings on my 2005 system: 3.4 Ghz P4, 8800GTX graphics adapter, 3GB memory, but UBI games are an exception...most 2011-on games will only run at upper-low settings.

The end of the road is coming. Either squeeze another couple of years out of the current system with a new graphics adapter and more memory, or go for a new one for games only.

I've already three computers, a fourth seems excessive.

Amazing. I haven't done flight sims for 7 or 8 years, might have to give them another look.

The hardware is just now getting to the point where you can play with decent quality, it's amazing, I've got a gaming pc that will play basically anything I throw at it on ultra. I start up FSX which is quite a few years old now and I've got my cpu maxed and only running about 20-30 fps.

I just got back from checking it out on amazon - no way my system will run it. The last flightsim I did was MS 2002, and it ran well on my 2005 Dell XPS w/3.4 Ghz P4 processor and 1.5 GB memory.

It's now modded up a bit with 3GB memory and an 8800GTX graphics adapter. Perhaps I should get FS 2004...I always liked flying the old-timers onscreen, game is cheap with free shipping from amazon.

Yeah, it's insane what is takes to run it well. 2004 was good because of all the historical planes.

Come to think of it, I may already have FS 2004, boxed up with older PC games. Need to take a look before ordering.
