Hi Marcel, As you know, Pierre De Siebenthal bought my old 275LM #6119 from Filipinetti. Robbie Box told me the story about how Pierre had agreed to sell the car to a Spanish/Portugese gentleman, and arranged to meet him at Zurich Airport with the car on a trailer. The arrangement was that the guy's mother was flying in from Spain with the money for the car, which the customer would then tow back to Spain. Well after waiting at the airport for some time, Pierre decided that no-one was going to come, and went back outside, only to discover that the LM and trailer had gone. However in his haste to get out of Switzerland, the thief rolled his Mercedes, the trailer and the LM, which was eventually returned to Pierre. 6119 was dismantled, and Robbie told me that the frame was hanging in the roof of the garage at Lausanne, and the rest of the car was in boxes for a while! Perhaps on one of your visits to Pierre's, you may have seen it? I can't help with dates or any other information now. Pierre's sons are still involved with good cars, and have a restoration business in Switzerland, but were too young to remember any of this. Regards, Don Nelson

The 166MM Berlinetta Touring Le Mans (#0048M) photo is missing, do you have pictures from that car and some informations?

I don't know the S/N of the red 330 GT 2+2 Series One on the left, but the 250 GT Coupé Pinin Farina on the right is 0975 GT. This same 250 GT Coupé can also be seen on the right side of photo #2 in post #65, next to the 206 Dino GT #00172. COPYRIGHT MARCEL MASSINI Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does a place like this still exist today? It's my dream, find a wreck and restore it! But I'm just 16, so only my father could do this!
Why not a story with these photos? Would be a stunning change from so many soothing reports on Pebble Beach or Cavallino Classic. It would also give some real information to Classiche. At last!

Marcel, I presume you don't know the serial number of that trashy GTE hulk. Do your originals - or do you have other photos that would - show the dashboard set-up (series 1 or series 2)? Do you have any further info on this car? Do you remember the color? Swiss sticker tells it has some Swiss history of course... Best wishes, Kare
I saw and photographed at least five (5) different 250 GTE 2+2s in various conditions at De Siebenthal's in those years (1978-1982). The hulk was a green one and was totally parted out. It had two decals saying the brand "Elektrion", where the rear license plate was fitted. I don't know the S/N. There was a silver grey one also. Plus a white one with a highly unusual exterior rear view mirror (I posted a photo of that one). There were also at least two different 250 GTEs in darkblue, one with a tan interior and yellow fog lamps (France) and a darkblue one with black interior with the mirror on the right front fender. There were also at least four different 330 GT 2+2s, both Series. Plus a 250 Lusso, two 275 GTB/4s, several 365 GT 2+2 (Queen Mothers), 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer, etc. Marcel Massini
Etonnant de voir comment une casse peut varier d'un pays à un autre, ici en Suisse en trouve une mine dor...-finalemment, cela ne devrait pas nous surprendre- je n ose pas imaginer à Dubaï ou en Arabie saoudite.
Something about 0975GT, in 1986 I was searching for a replacement inside plug engine I didnt have much knowledge then about 250GT. the only B/W pic I could find in an old shoebox is of the motor number on the distribution cover. I didnot buy it because I had never seen a motor number surround line/cirkel stammend The number 7 seems to me restambed too . Asking was about 8-9K DM only for the engine. Here two very bad quality pics of a pic. Sorry for Quality A silver replacement body stand next to the chassis. the car was compleetly reconstructed on a very high level. So a parted PF out give a body transfusion.I think. I was never interested in Chasis Numbers. so thats all I have. C. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

The car drove several years in Berlin. registration : B-FX 250H ( plaque de police ). Was for sale last summer 2009 in a german classic car mag. C.
I like very much these pictures?? do you have any pictures about maserati mistral o ghibli of the sienthebal´s collecction?
The last thing I can say about 0975GT is : The car owns a second fueldoor/lid on the left side. But only one fueltank. There a for sure recent pics of this unigue? feature. but if it was orded in 1958 I cannot say only a educated eye will mentioned this. the building sheets could speak . the last time I saw this car was for over 20 years. C.
you can see the two fuellids on 975GT in my pic from 2003. i am not sure if this is unique, but the left lid is not usual. Image Unavailable, Please Login
