The crying in this thread over people who feel CNC did something wrong is so absurdly inaccurate it's mindblowing.

    CNC did nothing wrong.

NSXer you lost the deal. Your pissed at the seller. The car was priced too low for the current market and was advertised on the internet where millions of people could have seen it. As CNC said, the car would have gone to someone else if they didn't buy it. You didn't have a deposit nor a contract in place. You had the word of a third party. Move on.

Can we get some enforcement of the classified "rules" put in place and shut this thread or move it already?

Well, I personally think the thread should stick around. I think its important for the users on here to know what happened etc... Most especially since CNC is an advertiser on here. I don't think that they should be immune to the scrutiny of the members just because they write a check. People should be able to make up there minds. Those that want to do business with them great. Those that don't... great. Those that are on the fence might find it valuable. I don't think there is harm here.

There's nothing inaccurate CNC did in this transaction. The facts are pretty well documented, and even corroborated by CNC themselves (although they've recanted or contradicted themselves many times over the course of the past few months).

And what on earth gave you the notion NSXER didn't have a contract in place? He had a verbal agreement to purchase the car and repeatedly offered a deposit, which the seller or his agent forwent. That's still a legally binding contract.

Lastly, I particularly enjoyed the defense: If we didn't steal it out from under you, someone else would have. Talk about mind-blowing! As a matter of principal I would never do business with a company or individual who conducted themselves in such a way.

Only ghosts...The seller/owner is the only party not to check in here. Hmmm...

There's a certain silver Countach someone owns in this thread that I was screwed out of in a very unethical and very back stabbing way back in 2008 when I was looking for a project Countach. A member here told me he knew where one might be and would see if he could track it down, oh he found it he then bought it and tried to flip it to me for a $50,000 profit i honestly was dumbfounded. He screwed me over to line his own pockets. He didn't even want the car I had to pass on his new deal,
But he did sell it to someone

That individual claimed it as a pawn shop find. Nsxer, bought it and had it restored.

Oh moral of the story is sometimes you get screwed deal with it. Nsxer said already that Braden was apologetic and even gave him two exhaust systems.

Better deal than I got when I got screwed.

**** happened to me and the guy was applauded as a hero. Only I didn't make up a big stink at the time. I guess I should have made a big scene on the forum then justice would have prevailed.

Haha problem. It was a verbal agreement nothing more and I honestly don't think he had the ability to be honest after all the bs I found out he ran motorcycle dealer. I am just glad he cashed out and only made 50k since the cars went crazy.

Can I sue? It was 2008 but it would seems I lost out on hundreds of thousands of dollars because of a breach of a verbal contract all documented in emails. As well as fchat.

Any lawyers want my case? I only pay if we win and it better be for a lot I have suffered!!

I'm sorry Brian missed on this car but the fact is when you start getting into high dollar cars people will cut your throat to buy a car you're looking at. That's fact!

This thread (and ad) was started before the new classified ad rules went into effect.

The thread once again became fodder for the water cooler here at F-chat only because of the auction and flip of the car last week... Prior to that, all had said their peace and the thread was fading away. But the car was flipped after reportedly going into athe owners "collection." Should have simply used the word "inventory." The show would have already been over.

That's the issue being discussed by many friends here on and off-line - none of which are trolls that I talk to. I'm obviously not a troll and don't like drama. I started the push in Rossa for the new classified rules. But you can't always sweep problems under the rug in this community.

I agree that at this point the thread should be moved to the 550/575 section for further discussion - if it's really needed.

Ok, all sides to this story have been posted - more than once - and at this point, the horse has been beaten into the ground. This classified ad has run its course (car sold, and even resold).

As for all of the insults and name-calling, it's perfectly okay to disagree with their business practices, but it's not at all okay to call other users "dbags", "dirt-bags", "crooks", etc. Thread closed and infractions/warnings issued to those who have violated the site rules.
