What all is involved in getting on the list for the 360 replacement. What kind of deposit 5K, 10K, 25? Is it going to matter which dealer you do it with? will that somehow change where you fall on the waiting list? thanks Stan
Each dealer is different. If you put a deposit, make sure that you get a contract with a number on it. That guarantees your place, at least as far as the allocation from Ferrari goes. There is no guarantee that if you are 10 on the list that you will get the 10th car. That's because you might choose a manual and there may not be a manual car until number 24 or something. If you don't put any money down and get a contract, who knows where you are? However, if your number is on the contract then there is little chance that you will be moved for a more favoured customer. The lists are getting long these days so be fast. I think that at this point, it's going to be pretty hard to get in for a car the first or second year.
It sounds like there is no standardized process then, sort of a whatever each dealer feels like huh? Stan
Not that it's likely but what happens if the delaer blows town? Does FNA hold the deposit or the dealer? Stan
Dealer. To answer your question, you might want to ask Rich on this board, who works for the former Ferrari of Los Gatos. Brian, the old owner, pretty much embezzled a ton of deposits, among other things.
cf Europe: - Ferrari UK take £5k deposit, Evans Halshaw take £1k and Ch. Pozzi take Euro 10k - Ferrari S.p.a. is methodically buying the international concessionnaires so eventually Ferrari S.p.a. will hold all deposits . This move repliates the actions of other manufacturers such as Mercedes. Don't know if they will buy FNA but worth looking what other firms are doing.
