    Dear All,
Howdy guys, I ave placed my deposit for a used 02/03 Red/Black 360 spider today. I am thinking to paint it to " Rosso Scuderia " by the F-Dealer here. Without seeing the real thing in person ( just photos from this site ), my wife said it is too " Orange " as compare to what she call the original " Ferrari Red ". But what i believe are :
First , it is a little fewer (rare, Dealer said mine will the 2nd one after a 05 coupe) than most of them in here, either coupe or spider.
Second , i think it will look better, sharp as the CS. At least i do think so :)
Third, better resale chance as it will be paint by local f-dealer.
Please kindly enlight me with your ideas.
    Thank you.

P.S. I will add the C-grill at the rear too.

    Billy

    I've never painted one but....

Any car, anywhere, when altered from original condition loses lots of value. Why not just buy a Rosso Scuderia?

Unless I'm mistaken, the only 360's that are rosso scuderia straight from Ferrari are the Stradale's; otherwise, he'd have to go with something newer such as a 430 in order to have it painted rosso scuderia from the factory...

That car does have a bright red look to it from the pictures. I'm pretty sure rosso scuderia was not available before 2004 when it made it's debut on the Stradale; however, since that's a 2004 Modena, it might be entirely possible that it could have been ordered from the factory. I'm sure somebody here has a positive answer though...

Here's a few photos of the comparison:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89010

In the photos I've seen, rosso scuderia can look pretty orange. I've only seen the color in person on a Stradale once, but in my opinion it's more of a vibrant red and not as orangy as pictures depict it to be...

Don't paint it unless you don't mind losing value on the car and you really love the other color.

Please refer to my above post. Guy is selling his '04 360 and says it is Rosso Scuderia.

I hope you are right though because I think that's cool.

I am 100% sure I'm right. I have driven and '04 360 spider in Rosso Scuderia. That color is also on spec sheet for ordering a new Ferrari.

schumies car is rosso scuderia. I've had corsa and scuderia, I like scuderia better. Why? Its not Corsa! Its a great color and stands out from the crowd. But painting a Ferrari is not good for resale because it adds a story, so be sure you either are going to keep the car (recommended anyway) or dont care about the accelerated depreciation. Its not so much the value will depreciate as your market will shrink. Some folks will not even consider a repainted ferrari (ie first time buyers), others wont care (like me) if there wasn't any body damage and the paint job is good quality.

I love the color. It just looks fluorescent all the time, even in the garage. Probably won't be too popular with the grandpa's, and thus perhaps not great for resale, but who cares when it looks this good!

    Dear Guys,
I would like to address one point, the car is going to be painted by our ferrari dealership here in Hong Kong. And this may as well proved that is isn't paint due to any accident, damage to the car. And also the quantity of the painting ( Most of the F-car here usually head back to dealer for service ) Of course, there always have people hate change colour from original.
For the concern of any future depreciation of value, I may only keep it for 2 years before 430 will be all around here ( more depreciate ), i myself will look at the probability of resale chance, in fact, in the meantime when i am choosing this spider, there are 3 rosso red , 2 black spiders in the market ( without mention bunch of other coupes )
From dealer records, there are about 250 360 modena here ( all spec/years ; coupe/spider/CS ) Maybe 30% are spiders. Our 430 quota each year are about 75. In 2 years time, there should over 200 430 which might also speed up the depreciation of the 360. That is why i have to concern the chance of the resale now.
Rosso Scuderia is an option colour for any 360 after 2004. Mine ( repaint ) will be the only spider here after an 04 coupe of a local lady. Not sure if every future buyer may think as i do, but if i have had to make my car stand out with those standard spiders in the future, i humbly wish this could turn out as i what think in future.
Finally, IT will not be painted until 3 week time, from the dealership schedule.
I WOULD paint it to YELLOW instead of rosso scuderia if most of your disagree of my first choice.
Thankyou all again for your kind suggestions. !!!
    Billy
