    Someone having any experience of these? Have standard springs today and would like to have bit stiffer. Is this the way to go?

    If I am not totaly wrong the H&R 29405 / Ferrari Std should be:

    Front 8 / 6 kg/mm 33% stiffer
    Rear 15 / 10.6 kg/mm 41% stiffer

    Would suit me fine.

    Hi Anders,

    You not going any more for the Scuderia springs? I remember you got only 3 of them.

    My F430 is currently in the shop and they are installing my new Scuderia springs - red stamped. As I calculated in my thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=307048#7, they should be about :

    Front: 13.48 Kg/mm max
    Rear: 16.28 Kg/mm max

    If I'm not mistaking and depending on how things are calculated, the Scud spring seem to be well stiffer than the H&R springs. I should have the car back by the end of the week and I'll let you know my impressions. Here is a picture of the new springs (Old once are behind).

    No snow? It´s winter here and you need a 4 wheel drive. Will take at least 2 months until the roads are clear for a 430.
    I´ll wait to order springs until I hear your result. Did they bring the springs from Italy now? If so there must be some more ready to deliver from there. Not just 3 as last time I was asking them.

    Let me know the height of you car when you are ready. From wheel centre up to fender edge. And also your camber angles.

    When I lowered mine I got too much negative camber - made the car unstable att high speeds - so I just shimed out the upper A-arm.

    No more snow for the moment but freezing temperatures. But snow can come back at any time ;) So last weekend, everyboy got their Ferrari's out for a little ride ;). I'll give you the details once the car back. I asked to lower the car as follows :

    Front: 8.5 cm between wheel rim and fender edge (in stead of 10 cm)
    Rear : 10 cm between wheel rim and fender edge (in stead of 12 cm)

    I think it's reasonnably lowered without going into other issues.
    The car will be realigned after the mod and I'll write you back the new camber values.

    What neg. camber / toe-in values did you use when you lowered yours?

    I think standard neg. camber front is -1° and rear -1.5°. And total toe-in of front is 2.5 mm and rear is 4.0 mm.

    I got the new alignment values with the Scuderia stiffest red front + rear springs and the car lowered as follows :

    Front: 8.3 cm between wheel rim edge and fender edge (in stead of 10 cm)
    Rear : 10 cm between wheel rim edge and fender edge (in stead of 12 cm)

    New Michelin PS2 front + rear tires / full fuel tank / 65kg load

    Rear Alignment values (before / after)
    Camber Left: -2°47' -> -1°47'
    Camber Right: -2°46' -> -1°44'
    Toe-in Left: +4.8mm -> +1.6mm
    Toe-in Right: +1.0mm -> +1.6mm
    Toe-in Total: +5.8mm -> +3.2mm
    Toe-in Diff: +6.7mm -> +0.8mm

    Front Alignement values (before / after)
    Camber Left: -1°56' -> -1°37'
    Camber Right: -1°45' -> -1°31'
    Toe-in Left: +2.1mm -> +1.5mm
    Toe-in Right: +1.6mm -> +1.6mm
    Toe-in Total: +3.7mm -> +3.1mm
    Toe-in Diff: 0mm -> -1.1mm
    Caster 20° Left: +5°58' -> +5°50'
    Caster 20° Right: +5°56' -> +5°49'
    Left Max steering Left Wheel: +21°36' -> +29°00'
    Left Max steering Right: +20°57' -> +26°19'
    Right Max steering Left Wheel: +29°29' -> +26°41'
    Right Max steering Right Wheel: +32°48' -> +29°29'

    As you can see, my car needed a serious alignement !!!
