    What actions precisely?
    I saw nothing from
Any of you guys except non sporting stuff… the great MS took hill in 94 ( though he deserved the title) took Villeneuve out in 97, my idol senna had 2 litigious end of championships to say the least…
Max had altercations with ocon, litigious moves too in a shorter career.
Point is: no one is perfect so don’t judge, don’t hate and look at his results in his job , they are pretty nice compared to most drivers or any of us keyboard Warriors really. U don’t win 7 championships and twice runner up in 14 years out of pure luck. Respect his driving skills is all I’m saying, u are free to dislike a man whom I’m willing to bet none of us have met in person yet.

This is just to answer this thread.
Not judging him on his driving skills, other people’s behaviour or comparison or his records. Just whether he deserve to have more respect than he’s now as the thread suggested.
he has a lot of respect but not more as he hasn’t been able to raise above it when he lost. Needed his father to tell him and to snub the award ceremony shows his true self

No I didn’t. Do you know what his dad told him? Sounds like you are assuming what was said and also are assuming that without his dad he wouldn’t have gone congratulated max. All assumptions, could assume while we are at it that he has a speech memorized in case he won or finished second.

    Regardless
He didn’t do it on his own. So not a true reflection of him. He will mature and change no doubt but at this point of the thread it is as it is. No more deserving than others.

It's just a misunderstanding. They sent invitation for WWF1 trophy presentation so LH had no idea he had to attend. When FIA decide to give out the real F1 trophy I'm sure he will be there.

I understand the policy is ‘any driver participating in the championship season is expected to attend the WMSA end-of-season prize gala’

it didn’t appear to be mandatory…

    Very misleading title.

Hé didn’t name Hamilton as his inspiration.
He told he grew up watching Hamilton and Vettel and looks up against all the top drivers (all includes Verstappen) but his big inspiration is Senna.

There was no awkward moment at all.

Getting quite clear those British junk media are trying to frame Verstappen as the bad looser.

    It’s getting quite pathetic.

It makes sense though. Why would he be looking up to a guy that constantly divebombs, pushes opponents 20-30 meters into runoff, swerves around like a drunk, and the worst does brake checking on his opponents?
Why look up to a bully?
I don't blame the kid at all.

Hence he doesn’t deserve any more respect as this thread trying to argue.

A respectable sportsman not to mention a multi world champion would’ve and should’ve been able to rise above it all and attend regardless of it being mandatory - for the company, team and the spirt that had given him so much.

(I was making a joke with the use of ‘any’. I have no idea of what the requirements are. In the same situation, I would not have been the sportsman to rise above it all. I would have stayed in the Merc and driven straight home after the race. I thought his interview and congratulating Max was so far above what I could have mustered…Max admitted he would not have been able to do the same either).

I don’t think he will have to live up to anyone’s standards, but I think it would be fair to say you don’t like the guy and there is nothing he can do right, in your eyes. And that’s okay, we don’t all have to like each other. However, I always consider that fact when you’re setting those 55’ hurdles that Hamilton must scale to get your respect.

+1 Max was absent after a race when he was sulking and unhappy. Well said above. He pays the fine and the world turns. Thats the rule. END OF!

LH 7xWDC + 1xWDC stolen by Masi, 103 wins + 1 stolen by Masi, and 103 poles. The best that has ever done it. THE GOAT

Maxipad has just one singe WWF1 Masi title

This all may be summed up by this:

I thought both Lewis and Toto had more class than to skip the Gala. That's like thumbing their noses at the F I A and the sport that has made both of them famous and very rich. Futhermore, the F I A requires the top three drivers in the championship to attend. So there may be fines coming.

Bring it. I suggest a 10 sec penalty when your rival is 20 sec behind for the next race. Those always work out nicely.

Yea bfd dude. Its maxs first. I celebrated Sir Louie the loser runner up WDC when he won his first championship. Sir Louie the loser runner up WDC . Love the way that sounds. He should get that tattoo and maybe he will rise again to get his 8th wdc. And if he does congrats to him. wish he would go away .
